Busy Busy Day Session?

Been playing Trainz 2004. Does the Busy Busy Day session ever end? I have a full stack of logs at the lumber mill but the session never tells me that I completed it? Will it? What else needs to be accomplished?

many sessions are just open ended. It depends on the creator.

Some session can run for a week with every day different.

Thanks for responding.

Even the sessions that are original content, that is, included in the software by the developers themselves? It seems to me that a tutorial designed to indoctrinate a newbie like me to the Trainz universe would tell me when I have successfully completed a task correctly. Don't get me wrong, I love the whole Trainz concept and enjoy playing it, it's just frustrating.

Another question comes to mind regarding this particular session. When I give Aurelius and Graham their orders for getting coal from the mine to go to the power plant, and getting diesel fuel from the refinery for the mine, how come they can do their tasks, obeying all signals and never run into each other. But twice i have been rear ended and pushed along the tracks, losing control of my consist because it is now coupled with his and considered his? If I am on the track he wishes to use, why didn't he obey the red signal and wait for me to clear the block he wanted to use?

Just curious. Is it a bug? Or am I missing something? Granted I haven't read every page of every manual.

Also occasionally, the Waybill indicates that the Refinery is requesting crude oil. But I see no industry to acquire it from. Eh?

I guess the best thing is to stay out of the way of the AI trains. Check out this link for a discussion on how to signal your AI trains to allow an independent player tains to function. Single Track Operations - Trainz Discussion Forums

Not all routes are built with every industry needed to supply all other industries. Even built-in routes. Most routes are created by users, not professional game designers. As a result, many are less that perfect. But we all manage and get lots of enjoyment from this simulator.

Give a try to creating your own route and you will see what I mean.

Thanks for the link and the advice.

Will probably try my own route after playing some more and studying other users routes.

You might want to give this a look. It is a demo session using my CMTM Car Destination system. It offers you a different way of structuring an op session.

KUID: 32711:100002 It is on the DLS
