Bugspray - Issues in quickdrive from surveyor

unhinged

Hey all. I've got TS2009 and have been creating a route for quite some time now. I'm not big on the forums, as I'm still rather newbee :hehe: but I enjoy occasionally browsing screenies and whatnot.

But I've been faced with a problem and wanted to check in here first. I recently adjusted my settings, toning them down to give my PC a bit of a break from heavy loads in Surveyor as I figured I wasn't out driving and didn't need that higher quality and would prefer to have that extra overhead.

After some tweaking and adding in surveyor, I loaded up a simple quickdrive test -- as you do -- but everything went haywire. My consists have lost their "wheels" and do not move when I try to drive them. they begin to accelerate, reach 3km and just reset to 0km. but my drivers still follow their Nav-to (etc) commands but instantly hit the speed limit, i.e Pulling out of station - BANG - 70kms hour.

I readjusted my settings but obviously thats not the issue. Hoping there is a solution to this bug? I'm pretty sure I have SP2 - I updated ages ago, but can't remember wether it was SP1 or SP2 [sorry!].

I don't know what to think of this situation and your not the only one who had wheels missing from trains, so, maybe a fellow trainzer maybe able to help you out, that patch for build 38411 gave me such a headache I ignored it and had no problems with it since I made a mistake installing it and messed up everything I had in there including those 2-6-0 moguls by SR6900,Bdaneal and Pencil42!

Haha, nice.

I'm going to get in before anyone else does. Since "driver from surveyor" wasn't working yesterday, I figure, "hey that won't affect my route build" so off I go for some route building today. Eventually, I think, damnit, I really need to test this area and bite the bullet and HEY PRESTO! ITS FIXED ITSELF!

Ah, computers, how I love thee. :o

Just for future reference of others finding this thread. It was noted during beta testing that scripts ran differently on a route depending on whether the route was run directly in Driver or started from Surveyor via the F2 Quickdrive button. If your assets had scripts issues that might have been the problem you saw. I don't know if this was ever fixed. In general the response from Auran was to test the route directly in Driver to see if the problems go away.
