Hi everyone.

Does anyone know where I could get a drawbridge or Bascule that a train can use bridge from? (free if possible ;) ).

I am using TRS 2006 build 3092, so am unable to use the DLS.

Many thanks for any help.

Check over at Trainzpro Routes www.trainzproroutes.org

Their download server may have the bridges made by Vulcan.

You can access the DLS, but you'll have to wait in the queue for a free slot. This may take a long time and your downloads will be slow. Bendorsey made a ton of drawbridges inclduing Bascule lift bridges and Scherzer rollers.

Hi John. Many thanks for your reply. I shall have a look at the site you linked.

Oh, I thought I read somewhere on the forum that only users of TRS 2009 and above could use the DLS. Thanks once again.

I've made lots of animated bridges but the bascule is one of the few types I haven't made (yet, lol). They are all for 2004 but I'm told work in 2006 and up. Most are normally open and close at the approach of a train. A few are normally closed and open at the approach of a boat in the water that has been configured as a loco running on invisible track in the water.

I was going to suggest Ben but as he has done just about every bridge there is, except a bascule! Haha...

There's a bascule bridge available here http://www.ianztrainz.com.au/download.htm which is also on the DLS KUID:60238:27201.

Don't know if it works or not though.

Hi Ben & PFX. Sorry I’ve not replied, my internet has been as slow as a snail. :D

Anyway, Ben. Not found what I was looking for yet, but I did download your “Wood combo 20D & 19E”. very cool. But, they’ve got no tracks. Is it meant to have track or is it just for show?

If they should have track how do I add it?

PFX. I registered my TRS serial number back in 2007, but for some reason the DLS wont take it. I have been onto Auran about it and they said it was sorted, but it’s not. Will have to try them again.

Thanks for your replies.

Hi Craig:

They are supposed to have track, lol. Let me look into it.

EDIT: (a few minutes later). I looked and they both have track in 2004. Rail only std ga track (no ties or ballast) kuid:35412:38051.

Hi Ben. Thanks for your help. As I said in my last post, I can’t get the DLS to accept my serial number, will have to ask Auran to help me. (although they should have sorted it back in December 2009 - this is the first time I’ve wanted to download something).

Even tried looking for the kuid on the net, but with no luck. LOL.

PS. Do you know if I need a FCT to download 1 thing? I don't want to buy a FCT just for the one track.

Hi Craig.

Unfortunately, for you to download off the DLS you will need an FCT. Free access is only provided from TS09 and on.

I can't believe you've managed without downloading any assets so far. I'm impressed. Though saying that, there are that many built-in objects, I suppose it would take ages to use them all.

pfx - that's not strictly true (at the moment, free access is possible for Trainz Classics or above (TC1+2 is only until September though)

TRS2006 and earlier versions, as you state, would require a FCT in order to download.

craig72, did you buy a new or used copy back when you registered the serial number? If you bought a used copy, you are not going to get anywhere if the previous owner registered the serial number.

Shane

Hi PFX and Shane.

I bought TRS 2006 from PC World, so it was a brand new copy. I did register the serial number, but I no longer have accesses to the email address I used when I registered.

I did ask Auran if they would be able to change the original email address to the one I have now and they did and Zec (?) said I should be able to download.

Also, the reason I have never downloaded before, is that I have had things off other sites.

This all started the other day when I was watching a video clip of the 2010 EE and saw a bridge I like.

Oh well, looks like it’s time I got the 2010 WBE. ;)

Thanks for your help.

Actually TS2010 is known as 2010 EE edition - it does not make much difference though - just make sure it's a new copy, not a used one (especially if buying from somewhere like Amazon etc)
