Bridgehampton Metro - UK Light Rail / Modern Tramway in Progress

Hi Paul

Your screenies are looking good as usual!

I must apologise for a lack of response, had a new pc built.
The items are very nice, no issues as such. Was just wondering when you are planning on releasing them as my project is nearing completion.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all your kind words! I'm planning to release the Bridgehampton South mini-route in the next couple of weeks, so I'll be releasing the overhead and elevated stuff before that. I might even start uploading later today...

Hi Paul,

Very nice series of shots, you did catch that big city atmosphere very well.:)

Greetings from sunny Amsterdam,

Jan

Just a heads-up: Bridgehampton Metro South is now on the DLS, with an automatic session (which you will need). Also there is the Bridgehampton livery tram. Note that both the original and revised destination textures seem to be showing, so make sure you get the updated version.

Had a busy route-building weekend on Hampton Mall (the other mini-route), and I've made a great deal of progress with the rural extension to Barworth...

Across open countryside.

HMExtn03.jpg

Across the old railway bridge. Much of this route is built on old railway formation.

HMExtn04.jpg

Leaving the line of the old railway to head into Barworth. The old line skirted around the town and carried on further into the countryside.

HMExtn05.jpg

Arriving at Barworth Parkway on the edge of Barworth. This stop has parking and bus interchange.

HMExtn06.jpg

Joining the main road into Barworth.

HMExtn07.jpg

Passing the old garage. Looks like someone has engine trouble...

HMExtn08.jpg

Passing the pub(s). I realised when I counted that I had put about five pubs all in the same short length of street. Then I remembered England's pretty much like that in places - glad they'll be catching the tram home...

More later...

Where did you get this catenary pylon (in photo 3) ??

All of the overhead poles are by me, and are now published on the DLS. The ones in picture 3 are the same as in 1, 2 & 4. I have only produced one pole with the 'I' beam girder so far.

It might have been easier to just quote the one picture you were talking about - now there are 2 copies of all the shots from my last post... :o

And the rest of the set...

Crossing the new tramway bridge into Barworth from the old bridge.

Pulling into the Barworth Terminus

Leaving back across the bridge

Turning back up the main street to head back into Bridgehampton and beyond...

As a non-screenshot based sidenote, on leaving my house there are two pubs to the left, one opposite, FIVE to the right, and one down a side-street (which is nicest of the lot). This is not the most densely pubulated (for the uninitiated, that's a joke) part of my town (I'm not letting on about which town in case I get drunken trainzers on my doorstep late at night). By comparison, your TRS inhabitants are teetotal. Incidentally, before someone asks, I've not quite been in all of those pubs - one is rarely open, two don't look inviting, a fourth I've been in but is the ultimate "locals' " pub, one is a 'Spoons and one joins a Travel Inn and is furthest away. The others are good though. I recommend the backwater pubs for their friendlyness, if not their prices.

On topic, the tramway looks really nice - it looks very detailed in places though. How are the framerates?

Cheers all

@Bidmod - good to see you around here again - it's been a while. Your description of where you live really doesn't narrow it down that much, though I'm not sure how you can recommend pubs whose locations you are keeping to yourself... :o

Frame rates are actually pretty good on my 2 year old mid-range machine. I'm sure some trainzers may not be able to handle it, but it's not too bad at all.

@KooKas - The region I'm using is already on the DLS by me 134105:1037. I may add some extra carz to the route as well...

What a great looking route. I've downloaded all, but it doesn't run. Where in the forums are details of missing dependencies? I can't find them.
Can you help please.

It has indeed been a while. It's fair to say this higher education lark gets in the way a bit :p so you'll probably see a fair bit of me this summer (I have '09 on order to get back into TRS), then I'll disappear back into the abyss! My backwater pub recommendation is a general one - it so often holds true (incidentally, this is definately true in Bowness on Windermere - I can recommend that since I'm currently not there! I forget the name of the place though). My point being that your street could easily be accurate. I'm backing you up all the way.

Anyway, I shall desist from thread-jacking until I can say something a tad more constructive

Thanks for your help with missing dependencies. I now have them all.

However, I cannot run this route. trams don't show up-a lot of textures are missing-buildings hanging off the board etc. I'm running TS2009. Should your route run in this version?
Any ideas please?
Thanks

David
