BR Class 08 for Trainz 2009??

Hi all, im trying to download some BR shunters but none of them will work, mainly saying I need to change to LOD mesh (which I believe from reading the forum isnt possible).
It isnt just the 08 though, its anything from Class 01-Class 19. Class 20's and upwards are fine(ish).
Any advice would be much appreciated?!

Its just saying that the old format is no longer considered "good practice" if you like. It should work, but some items may not.
LOD mesh just means changing the file format and doing some quite heavy editing for a notice really.

The class 01s, 02s, 03s, 04s, 06s (there's 32 of them alone), and D2400s that I've uploaded recently all work error free in TRS2010, that should keep you going for a while

Not sure about my 08 reskins, when I get a minute free from my current project I'll check them.

IIRC they have some minor 'errors' in the bogies, which prevents them from working as-is in native mode.

The fixes are fairly simple as I remember it, mostly just using the new mesh container and adding a shadow.

I believe trescothick is correct in so much as there are no 08s that work as-is in native mode on 09/10, all of them require work - your reskins are the least work to get working, I believe.

..and currently downloading BR Class 04 D2271 blue preserved

CLASS 08 09 & 13s

Hi,
I have just moved to 2009 on a new computer and was unable to install all the old 2006 items to the new machine. I had to start all over again dowmloading individually from the DLS. to replace the 08 09 and 13s. i just type in Class 08 then Title then Locomotives, they should then appear in DLS to be downloaded. Hope this info is of use to you

The 03s and 04s all work in TRS2010, what errors are you getting?

I have a number of shunters on 2009 including at least 1 class 08. It is the freightliner version I believe. Only problem I found was it has a class 37 cab which is a bit silly. Still it is not uncommon to find a perfectly good loco/dmu etc! with the wrong driving cab. I was travelling in a dmu with a class 37 cab earlier today which feels really weird. I think I have a class, 02, class 03 (may be 03179), 06 and one of those strange Tinsley Hump shunters which is 2 class 08's joined together and has one driving cab removed. They were called "master and slave". Try typing "class 02" etc! into the DLS and see what you get.

My content manager isnt letting me log in today (had this problem last week too) but when it does i'll put the error codes on here for you and send you a pm when its done.
Downloaded the 'BR Class 04 D2271 blue preserved' last night and it worked fine, lovely bit of kit.

No they all don't!!

None of the class 01s, 02s, 03s, 04s, 06s, and D2400s under my kuid are aliased and none of them contain progressive meshes, have a look at each of the assets to check that if you like. All of these can be placed in TRS2010 without any modification as I've already said.

If they still won't show I'd suggest you have missing dependencies.

I would suggest that you have displayed the warnings that are flagged up for the class 08 above (they are aliased as Pikkabird insists on that), not any of the other classes I've mentioned under my kuid.

Anyway, warnings can be ignored, it's only errors that stop an asset being placed in Trainz. The asset will still place if those are all the messages that are flagged- give it a try.
