Blackheath Down

All the same

Angelah, yes, you're correct, they'll fail, as the kuid ID you've got, ends with 0 - hence it'll make them XXXX:XXXX:127, (the XXXX's being your kuid-id and that of the route) which will result in a failure to upload. Increment the kuid ID by one, so it looks like XXXX:XXXX:1, and they should upload successfully.

Hope this helps, and if you need more help, don't hesitate to ask.

Hi and thanks,
I have just checked my drive and ALL the routes I have uploaded have the 0 at the end yet neither the 2 at the start or a 0 at the end show on the download station on the pages or even when starting the download.
It seems kuids are being changed somewhere along the line....

But Auran can see the kuid after the route has uploaded so why hasn't anybody told me I need to correct this fault?

Thank you for helping in this matter, it will be interesting to see if anybody else has the same opinion as us.

God bless,

Angela

EDIT :- Having opened the config I note the kuid is 87158:103771, nothing else before or after.
So I cannot alter the kuid there and as a cdp the kuid is locked in. I tried in Dispatcher but that does not allow the kuid to be edited.

Hi Angela
If you change the kuids in the configs to 2:87158:103771:1 and 2:8715:8:103776:1 I think that will clear the problem

Thanks

Hello trackie ( a pet name),
Thanks. It seems that 2 threads that include this point aren't attracting a lot of response! So thanks you for adding yout twopennyworth. I shall toddle off and give it a try.

God bless,

Angela

Try again?

The upload failed again, i'll try changing the kuid number and try again.

Hello Alan,
Not sure what we are talking about now? Are you uploading my route on my behalf??? Didn't think that was possible.... but being a whizz-kid I expect you know certain illegal practices I don't.... ha ha.

I shall try today myself by changing the numbers in the config and then see what it says they are in Dispatcher. I will let you know.
This is an update of a route that came with 04, but altered so much it is unrecognisable, I just wondered if that had anything to do with it?
Mind you, so was West Country Days and that went up fine.

WCL2_part done (both attempts) are of course completely virgin routes created by me on a dem so no such problem (if it ever exists) is not there. They are up and go to the download page but give a 'Page not found' when trying to download. Another bit of witchcraft on Auran's part.

Thanks for your efforts,

God bless,

Angela

kuids

Here is the kuid copied straight out of the config
<kuid:87158:103776>
and the one in the Dispatcher
<kuid2:87158:103776:0>

Tried changing it in the config to <kuid:87158:103776:1> but still got the 0 on the end in Dispatcher. And in brackets (new asset)

Putting a 2 in front causes Dispatcher to reject the file as 'not mine'....

It looks as though my copy of Dispatcher has got shot through somehow and is changing numbers!!!

A very puzzled Angela............

Yeah, i can upload a layout on your behalf. Pretty sure Blackheath will be up on the DLS tomorrow.

The DLS wont know that its an alteration of an 04 route.

WCL2 Part Done - 87158:103370 downloads fine.

WCL2 Part Done_2 - 87158:103377 - I cannot fix and I will need to remove it and you can re-upload it if you wish. No point having something on the DLS which noone can download and I cant fix. I hope you are able to re-upload this.

Hello Alan,
Got your message on the General thread and you will see from there that it isn't necessary to upload both WCL2 routes. I was just getting desperate then...

Thanks again Merlin the Magician...

Incidentally, the Merlin engine in the Spitfire was named after the magician because he created an invisible 'shield' around Arthur to protect him... as the good ol' Spit protected us here in England - and other places...

God bless,

Cranby New Town

Hello young Mr Yeomans (young Ms Halliday indeed.... I was borne before WWII...),
Still, we won't go into that - too many secrets.
I have just checked my uploads using my username and find that one version of Cranby Town is missing and (Cranby New Town) and the one that doesn't work, that is the one that downloads from an external link, is still there.
I changed my server so that link doesn't work anymore so is it possible to remove that route from the DS?
CNT V2 is still there. I have looked at the 2 routes on my PC and can't find much difference, but the files are different sizes, not a lot, but different. As CNT V2 is the latest I am fine with that.

Also checked WCL2_Part_Done and it does work to the download now, so that's brilliant and thanks a million. It is hosted on greateastern's site so I expect he will be pleased too!

A very happy bunny....

Angela

Wow the route looks great - the china clay mounds remind me of Cornwall and their artificial 'mountains' they call the 'Cornish Alps', made entirely of china clay. And the Naval Docks remind me of Falmouth Harbour, where they keep naval ships.

Thanks for bringing back the memories ;)

still having troubles getting blackheath downs up on the DLS, its proving a real challenge. I'll try it again later.

Cranby New Town - 87158:101514 has been removed as the external link was not working.

Cranby New Town V2 - 87158:101531 downloads and works fine.

Tidied up

Hello Alan,
That has certainly tidied up my list of assets on the DS, thanks.

Still no Blackheath then? Have you discovered exactly what the problem is yet and if so is there anything I can do?

God bless,

Angela

Blackheath Down Up and running

Pleased you got there in the end I can only say well worth the delay

After a day plodding round the coast line in North Yorkshire route testing By George it fast!
Many thanks Bob V

Blackheath Norfolk

Here are some shots from the Norfolk track version just to show how nice that track is.....

1_BH_N_Blackheath.jpg

A Fagpacket set leaving Blackheath Down station past a 'garaged' set on the left and the MPD on the right

2_BH_N_Windmill_bridge.jpg

The set passing over Windmill bridge, the windmill duly present

3_BH_N_Meridian_River_Stn.jpg

Here it is approaching Meridian station. The bridges on the right, the single line leads to the naval docks.

4_BH_N_Emerging_Meridian_bridge.jpg

Our 124 erupts from the Meridian bridges to begin the long curved run into Sandy Bay station, but there is another photo before we get there.

5_BH_N_Sandy_Bay_docks.jpg

The Sandy Bay Box with the Fagpacket set whizzing past under the road bridge.

6_BH_N_Sandy_Bay_stn.jpg

And now we reside at Sandy Bay station, just a short stop however, the journey continues.... It can also be seen that a preserved line has gained running right over these metals due to the water cranes on the platform ends.

The journey continues

And onward, ever onward!

7_BH_N_Coast_SS_Steamship.jpg

An unusual shot from SS Steamship as she sedately glides past the coast and catches the set traversing the coastal embankment

8_BH_N_Coast_beach.jpg

Further along the swish of the train doesn't seem to arouse any interest from the groups of holiday makers enjoying the sun on this secluded beach

9_BH_N_Dawling_Xing.jpg

Dawling crossing and the set hurtles on towards Dawling station. Mrs Brown hangs out her washing so perhaps it's Monday? And Mr Brown's plants seem to be doing fine in the greenhouse.

10_BH_N_Dawling_Aggregate.jpg

Having degotiated Dawling station we now pass Dawling Aggregates which is busy at work emptying the bowels of the earth.

11_BH_N_Cranberry_Cove.jpg

The plume of smoke above the lead unit denotes she is pulling out of Cranberry Cove station after a brief pause. Note the docks in the background, none too busy though. Are those cars for export?

12_BH_N_Puddle_Lane_Coalbox.jpg

And last but not least the set near Puddle Lane coal junction, see slightly right of centre (I think!) with the box and platelayer's hut on the left

Many thanks to those at Auran for helping me get this route onto the DS so you can all enjoy it.

And to Photobucket for ably hosting the images.

Angela
