BIG BOY REMAKE?

Well, I can't recall if the cab, whistle and bell of the TrainzItalia Big Boy is an improvement or not, or even if it works in TRS2009, 'cause I don't have it installed on my 'puter at the moment (George, can you help out?), but I can assure you that the texturing and detailing are absolutely superb.

Hi All: Yes there is a way to program it..Click on CM2, find the engine, right click on engine..then go to edit..right click explorer, right click con-fig file, change the Kuid no. to your choice..click on x upper right corner, it should say "Do want to save" Yes. Go back to edit, click on "Content creator" make sure it says the correct Kuid No's. Click the x, then should say "Con-fig file complete", then go back to edit, click on commit.. Hope you get it done..

ok iv done all that but i cant open Content creator its the same error message content manager came up with wen i first got the game, "error has occurred content creator had to close do u want to tell Microsoft about this problem? [send] [don't send]" i pick don't send because they wont do eney thing about it.

Locomotive bells and whistles and other components are seperate and downloadable objects in trainz with their own kuid numbers. If you don't like the whistle on Bigboy, find one you do like being used by another loco for example and make note of its kuid number in that locos config file. Then open up Bigboy's config file as noted above and on the line that says "hornsound" delete the old kuid number that follows on the same line and insert the one you like. Save as described above.

To tell the creator of BIGBOY that after he spent 550 hours (approx) of his very valuable time creating this master piece "BigBoy" FOR FREE that his loco sucks, (or parts of his loco suck) is not the best way to possibly convince him to spend another 400 - 550 hours creating another superb loco like the Challenger (or something similar)...

I'm sure once the creator spends another 100 - 200 hours sorting out what you don't like about his creation, well, I'm sure you will be the first person on his list to send/post a link too...
Freeware is freeware!!!!! YES IT'S ACTUALLY FREE !!!! If you don't like the free content, either start digging into your pocket or start learning how to create/modify content yourself... (then you maybe have the right to complain if everything isn't quite perfect).
Alternatively, spend the 200+ hours it takes to learn how to build a steam loco and start creating your own. Why? so that once it's finished, the _ossers can start picking holes in it...

I'm picking you are probably quite young & still serving your Trainz apprenticeship, so no problem. "The community forgives you". Please just write what you want to say on a piece of paper first, then check to see if it reads/sounds OK, then post it... (& don't be frighten to use the spell checker)...
We have to make sure that we don't upset any of the contents creators. Especially the ones that do it for "free", otherwise they might either stop creating for us, or start making their creations payware.

ok im back on track. now what i want to do is redo the whistle on the big boy, i hav a lot of sound files and i hav a classic whistle sound for the big boy (i dont remember were i got the file from i think i got it from msts) so how do i use the file on the big boy in trs?
