May the lord smite thee...I'll have to live with the fact that I will never understand American locomotives... Most (but not all) of these I wouldn't call beautiful and one would even put in the ugly thread...

+1 although their multiple units I.e the M6, M7, M8, Acela and and the more modern NY subway cars (my personal faves) are pretty nice to look at. However, I think the bull nose cabs like the SD-40 etc are too basic ad a bit boring and generic and stretched but I respect other people's opinions and if they like them, fine. The F7's though are gorgeous if painted in the right kind if livery like classic Santa Fe red yellow and silver.I'll have to live with the fact that I will never understand American locomotives...
