Backing up my install files

Here is a possibly stupid question, I am trying to burn my install files onto a DVD for backup, I keep getting a windows error. Is that some kind of copyright protection? Anybody else have this problem? Also, what happens if I get a new computer, can I install my Trainz on that computer?
