Backing-up Data

Hi,

I run a data back-up every day to prevent disasters. I have added the TR2006 Directory to my back-up job. This causes a full back-up of the entire program.

Is there a single file that I can select which will back-up my layouts? Since I have the CD I can recover everything else.

Thanks,

Tom:confused:

C:\Program Files\Auran\TRS2006\local folder. The \local folder is where everything that you've downloaded is stored.

Hi Tom,

What software are you running for your backup? I run Backupeasy, which is a freeware (now unavailable) program that uses Java code.

I'm looking for better alternatives even though BE does what it's supposed to do right now because the interface is a bit short the easy part.

Thank Ron.... I've used this before a very long time ago on an old Macintosh system that was running OS 8.1. It wasn't a bad program then, and it most likely has seen great improvements. I'll check it out.

Backup solutions, no matter if there's a cost for them, are worth looking into given the huge amount of data involved with Trainz. I hate to say it, but I think I backup more data for Trainz install then I do as a Network Admin at the place where I work!
