Where are picklists stored?

I had to reinstall Trainz, but I erased no data. My data is not stored in the default folder Trainz creates when you install it. I have it in a separate folder and also back it up frequently.
Now all my picklists disappeared after reinstalling the software and redirecting the data folder to my data folder. My routes and sessions are there, my effect layers are there, my Sketchbook saves are there, everything is there, except my picklists. Now picklists can be backed up and copied as text files. So they must be there somewhere. Where?

Can anyone help?

They are stored in the file assets.tdx, together with a lot more information about the Trainz database. The picklists are not directly accessible in this file.

Indeed an interesting question but I always make a habit of backing up my picklists as text files so I can move them between different installs of Trainz on the same or different computers.
