Australian screenshots

*sighs* Whilst I respect a creators right not too upload their content to the DLS, its their right to do such, I may not necessarily agree with it, but it is there right.

The bogies there look nothing like what they turn up as in TS2010 or TS12. They were the ones I was talking about. The silver frames are the same, just not the wheels. Good on you for non-DLS items also

These are NEW bogies in these pictures, especially made already for the ComEng coaches I will upgrade (Ghan/Indian Pacific etc.) and the forthcoming release of the SAR Bluebirds (100, 250 and 280 Classes).

Cheers

VinnyBarb

And I wish too add, Vinnybarb, those new bogies look damn awesome mate, absolutely awesome - the hells with the rivet counters and that, quality demands high standard, and I take my hat off to you for such quality :)

Hey everyone,
don't know if it's just me, but I can't download Port of Brisbane V1. Alpha on the DLS. I've tried several times but no luck. Has this happened to anyone else yet. The error I get is Item cannot be found on the download station.

don't know if this will help but try it..

http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php

and enter my KUID into the Default search field .. "609955:" this will return all the stuff I have made and put on the DLS....

I would give you a direct link but I"m not sure how vinnybarb made his..

That is why these bogies have 4 aggressive LODs when in game. Just doing the best I can content creating wise, actually my creations including the forthcoming SCT Class are created with a view of the state of Trainz being in a year or so, when PCs, CPUs and Graphic cards have advanced further, so I will not need to upgrade these "any time soon". These currently in works locomotives I am creating are doing alright on my own PCs on a very diverse and populated route, hence I can not see why this should not be the same on current "middle of the road" specced PCs. LODs are the secret.

Regarding having these new releases only available from my own web site from now on keeps ME ALONE HAVING CONTROL over these myself, once uploaded to the DLS, I lose ALL rights over my own content I have created with blood, sweat and sometimes tears. Copyright means jack sh!t on the DLS. I alone decide what I want to do with these creations and no one else can do this when only available from my own web site. Just ask David Owen, why....

Some of these VERY detailed, soon to be released locomotives will still be FREEWARE.

Cheers

G'day all,

been making adjustments to the Katniss line, starting with Track, ballast, point levers, catch points, bufferstops and a new water tank and column at the station...

Hey Guys, i though i'd have a crack at what danielchas originally did, the end of the line with the abandoned/ ripped up track scene. These are a few i took, the line that is no longer there goes to an abandoned sugar mill, and as you can see an abandoned QLX and a few rusty trucks. Hope you all like, please leave tips, etc.

Yeah what's with the DLS anyway It is most convenient, it downloads quickly and it supports Trainz or should I say NV3 with funds to keep on going.
Think some of you people are getting your knickers in a knot over nothing :( Some of us are working hard to get Multi Player working whilst others are doing their best to kill it off.
I tell you all something If NV3 jump ship and decide their is no money or future in Trainz, we all end up like Micro Craps Simulator.
Trainz will not survive that, and that's for for sure.
I talk with many trainzers and for some of us, if your stuff is not on the DLS then we ignore it, no matter how good it is.
A good example is the stuff hosted on Sir Gibbys TrainZone. I think one member sometimes shows the magic Na's here every now and then.
Of course the exception to that rule is Worrybrook Station and Davido who has been friend for many years to most of us on these forums. I must ask both he and narrowgauge what the problem is :(

Damn, so these may end up like Conny's stuff, great quality, very popular, however, once the site goes down, its goodbye SCT's

So Vinny
Its freeware so you are not losing money, or am I missing something there?

You cannot stop anybody stealing your mesh, because the Slavs have programs to unencode that anyway

You cannot stop re skinning as Davido has found out.

The only thing you actually do stop is NV3 using your stuff in new versions of Trainz and selling the new version featuring your stuff...
That equates to giving your stuff to every trainzer out there for free but telling the owners of the Trainz Software that they have to pay for it.

NV3 know that they can leave all freeware out of their new releases.... But Trainz is just a heap of rubbish without the Community input. NV3 simply create the platform and keep upgrading it. Its the users that make it great!!
Why are some people worrying about NV3 using their content?
I guess I simply do not know what the younger generations think any more I talked about this with Billegulla a lot. We both had difficulty understanding this. Bill gave his meshes out to anybody that wanted to use them, with few strings attached. All he wanted was for you to ask and tell him what you wanted to do with it.
Cheers

Can we knock off all this "why can't it be on the DLS" thread's/post's those complaint's/whinge's don't belong here as it is a screenshot thread, Plus i'm really over hearing it constantly pushed on everyone.
Cheers Mick.

Most of Pete's content has not been released some of which have not been released for years.
I agree with Jamie some of Marlboro's content were released as betas most of them unfinished then the site went down but this time not for repairs.
N3V is starting to become like all the other company's Greedy selfish etc etc...

Hmm not bad. But the texturing scale needs to be lower, better rails should be used (UK Rusty) and you should use some proper grass splines (like the JVC ones that Mulie and i use).

Mulie, for someone who has stopped building modules in trainz, you sure do build a lot of modules in Trainz
