Evening all

Some QR action of the last couple of days.

Last night, loco shortages meant that 1746 was called upon to pull some empty cattle wagons from Dinmore to Clapham. It is seen at the top of the Oxley bank.

Shocking weather followed me this afternoon as I headed to Kuraby. It was at its worst at Coopers Plains

I was very thankful for the raincoat after stabling the empty unit in Beenleigh Yard

Evening everyone,

Just a random for the night.

Heading to load up some containers and head on down to Port Levendale.

Well its nice to see you have a sense of humour, i am happy to say so do i and i needed a good laugh and i just had it. You have made quite a few errors on those three stations if they are for the QGR era of your work. I suggest you need to go back and have a look at your work and see what and where you have gone wrong. And yes there are quite a few errors to be sorted.

and as this is a screenshot thread here are a couple.

Ghosty sorry for the quote but i can't resist in asking how you got that lovely Pommie? ( the 1250, or 1225 class...) Thanks, Pat.

Vinnybarb, are you going to make custom engine and horn sounds for your GT46C-ACe's seeming that they all have the same prime mover (EMD 16-710 G3C-ES) (and I'm assuming horn?) or is it just find what sounds right on the DLS?

Also, just so you know, numbers for each class are: SCT001-015, LDP001-009, TT001-006, TT101-119, WH001-WH003, GWA001-GWA009. I'm just clarifying this as you stated that you were going to do the XRN's, which are GE's equivelent to EMD's GT46C-ACe's, the C44aci which are:
9201–9215 (PN),
AC4301–AC4308 (ARG),
ACB4401-ACB4406 (ARG),
6001–6012 (QRN),
XRN001-XRN020 (Xstrata Rail),
CF4401-CF4406,
CEY001-CEY007,
GWU001-GWU009

I am good but not that good :hehe:. I personally like the Alco growl I am using on my created AN and CLP Classes (although these are not original for them) but most likely I have to ask some of the learned Yank engine sound makers if I can use a suitable sound from them, fitting the engine. But then again here are lots of PacNat NR Classes running past my backyard fence every day and there is not much, if any difference to me in their engine sounds going past compared to these of the SCT Class.

Hornsound, I havent a clue which ones these are using although a couple of SCT Classes are running past my backyard fence every day as well, to and from Broken Hill way or further with their own special higher boxcars and containers and these blow their horns when they approach our 2 rail crossings nearby. I most likely will be using the same I already used on my other creations.

Thanks for these, I already had the road numbers in my data bank but you can never have enough to recheck these. WH, does this stand for WhiteHaven coal in the Hunter Valley or thereabouts?

XRNs, I probably mix these up with the Pacific National (can not think of the Class name, XR perhaps) which had 2 or 3 of theirs jumping rails and leaning on a 45 degree angle some time ago. I only had seen pictures of these.

Cheers

VB, firstly, I must apologise for not bringing you any roof shots! My planned Hunter Valley trip a couple of weeks ago was completely rained out (the train I was going up to photograph never left the worksite, despite a crew driving all the way up from Sydney, preparing the thing, then having to drive all the way back again). My second trip earlier this week was disrupted by an XRN hitting an excavator on the mainline - we spent the entire day on the Maitland - Gloucester section of track chasing XPT's and intermodal trains!

I did get a top down shot of a 6000 if you're interested, although this is a UGL build and not an EDI build, so there will be differences.

The "WH" does indeed stand for Whitehaven Coal, and are used by PN with Whitehavens own wagons to service their mines in the Gunnedah region, along with 82 and TT1 class locomotives. The TT and 90/92 class seem to be focused on the lower Hunter/Ulan region.

As for the XRN's, these are similar to the 6000 class and NOT the SCT/TT/LDP classes, but they are quite attractive beasts. They are owned by Xstrata and are used by Freightliner with Xstrata owned wagons to haul coal above and beyond their contract with PN. Confused? It gets that way!

Brisbane-Toowoomba

This is a shot of my Brisbane-Toowoomba line. It's been a while since I posted, I hope to have the section Karrabin-Grandchester released in the next few months.

I'm back

After too much time of inactivity, I have returned to the trainz world and with me I will be bringing a new piece of rollingstock:

This was a mostly finished model that Pete (ad602000) sent me the mesh files for. As such I think it fitting it be released to celebrate the excellent content he has blessed us with.

Well my clock says 12 and fireworks are going off in the street so I can safely say...

Merry Christmas, Australians

Enjoy the day and may you all have a safe and happy New Year :D

Cheers
