Australian screenshots

if ya looking for current style I think you need to add a little more light and dark grey tile and cream and light gream colourbond roofing the dark grey is very high numbers around sunnybank and on the northside around everton park..

I can't say for earlier or more rural area's....

Forrest Runner, What scenery was used in your latest screenshots? Just looks so real! Getting a few ideas for my route that im currently working on :)

Cheers

David

Some nice work being showcased lately; wish I had something suitable to add to the mix; but I'm struggling a bit with route building atm.

Forest_Runner, love the look of your South Coast line so far. I'm curious as to what the lights are that you have TheBigMan's Platform Name Signs mounted to. I've been looking for something suitable for a while now.

HI guys ,

I'm considering releasing my route as it is before if gets to bloated to run on anyone's.. PC

I have a few things that need doing yet but would like a little feed back as to weather its already blown out or not first 10 PM's GET IT.

Please forward your personal E-Mail so I can send it off...

it will be route only with my scenery objects. (no vehicles loaded on route or portals..

Looking good Forest_Runner, targanon and misterchugg. In the first screenshot you showed misterchugg, I didn't even notice that they are 'roofz', so it should be fine from a drivers perspective on a train. It should be even less noticeable when you place the other tress as well.

I've been wasting more time doing indicator boards for use in CityRail themed routes. Once I get them all sorted out, I will be uploading them to the download station.

Old school wooden style:

Newer LCD style (got the other LCD style ones as well):

And lastly... couldn't help it: :p

I've done 12 of the newer LCD style ones to cover a few lines. There are a few other styles such as the dot-matrix one which I'll start/finish up once these are done.

Very nice Deadly.

Love the old style boards especially.

I suppose it's too much to hope that these are scripted to allow different info to be displayed from session to session?

Matt.

That's beyond my abilities, but I'm open to implementing it if someone is able to point me to a suitable tutorial. I have seen the nameable sign tutorials, but not quite sure how I could make it work with the indicator boards.

These are just using textures for the different stops to be listed.

thanks deadly, targanon

i love the wooden boards
reminds me of when i worked sydney interstate

i'm looking to use the green near the red roofed building in the middle for all the distant stuff. any better suggestions from anyone?

i'm still trying to reach an acceptable compromise to keep the size down

would 2 boards on either side of the railway line be too much?

thanks
ron

Its hard to say what would be best for your route ..

in some cases I have 1 board, in others I have 3 boards but I guess I'm making use of the extra boards in the truck track and trucks that are a major part of my route..

I have been considering including the other side of the river to include Brisbane airport into my route and thus make use of Vulcan's lovely airplanes.. but I'm concerned that though I have a huge PC in terms of grunt others are not so fortunate and will suffer the dreaded FPS shut down if I populate my route any further..

I guess it comes down to what works best for your route and right now you are the only one who can pose that question.. or answer it.. if you think it is needed to portray your route then go for it.. if you think the only thing its doing making it look pretty and is not really needed then dump it..
I have one such square that only uses a very small corner but its needed to complete a section without going off course, so I put in the rest of that boards required scenery..

anyways back on topic..

here are a couple of pic I snapped last night while tuning a session to go with my route..

Grrr starting to hate Photobucket... I just tried to use their crop tool to clean up a couple of shots and grrr its sucks I did the crop 4 times and got nothing for it... looks like I need to edit before posting grrrrrr

If the Images above are not displayed for some reason its Photobucket's fault as I deleted them from photo bucket but they are still showing?? I replaced them with edited version but ?? even when I post the links to the new files they still show these.

I have been considering including the other side of the river to include Brisbane airport into my route

Eventually some one will do the north side rail line past the airport and that will bring in the question of merging that route with your airport section. Therefore you will all need to set standards that allow merging eg stations at correct real world heights or track between stations that allow people to build rail on slopes to allow track to gain or lose elevations between the different layouts.

That has always be in my mind. and as far as I know the elevation of my route is correct.

so merging should be easy.. I have left easily one base board between where my track leaves off to where it joins the mainline..

I was considering completing the join to the mainline but figured it could be another project.. mine or somebody else's, I would like to model the rest of the area but I believe somebody is already working on it..

Maybe I could work on the now defunct Gibson island Branch.. its still there and was replaced when the Gateway Project was completed so its not shut down but it is looking very unused these days at least where the Gateway project didn't touch..

Thats not narrow gauge rollingstock i spy there is it? I was told there is none.

mate that track looks great, awesome looking 1067mm track and those points are awesome looking.

Cheers

Nice looking route there kenith.
The track and points look detailed, what would they be called? :D
Thanks
David

Thanks Ghosty and David.

Yup narrow gauge rollingstock on narrow gauge track.

The track is 1067mm (3foot 6inch) made by de_lorian. Available to download here: http://750mm.trainzup.com/?p=232 Make sure your web browser translator is working :)

It's extremely well detailed track with animated points. There are 21 different versions clean, rusty, etc. Perfect for anyone modelling Queensland railways or any narrow gauge system.

Hello all,

Great screen shots all round - Well done all.

Just a surveyor shot for the evening, nothing special, just working on a small bridge scene.
