Please Be Kind I am only new at creating extra trackage and scenery.

Welcome Crashy :) Don't sweat about posting your routes. We all started from the same square. Even Forest_Runner would have. :hehe: As for your posts containing insanity, we've got enough as it is. :p

Lenice, you're loco depot is looking great. The only thing I feel your steam depot is missing is a de-ashing pit Drop one in near the watering and coaling facilities. A siding for open wagons to be loaded with the ash would be recommendable as well.

Thanks Pinza and Ghosty :)

Yeah not a fan of the full scale 3801 so using it in a historically correct situation was a thing I felt like doing :p :hehe:

As for interesting things one can do I found is have a small 4 wheeled open wagon "S" Truck for example and have a small section of line crossing under the line to the loco depot entry roads as what was once done at Valley Heights NSW. Will look for my pics and show you what I mean.

Rear of engine shed, coal and water provisioning in foreground and Service shed in background with ash collection just in front. Some textures added.
Thanks for the compliment Pinza. I actually have an ash pit in the depot. It is the tower just in front of the brick Service shed. It is a few roads over from the coaling and watering facilities and has a recieving road for wagons to load ash into. It was one of the bits I had a problem with placing as I have had no experience with steamers, only diesels, so had to figure the lie of each facility myself.Any pointers gratefully recieved however.
Thanks
Glen

Lenice, thank you for pointing that out. Must be going blind from my welder :hehe: Can't really think of anything else it's missing other than some steamers  For info on depot arrangements, I would recommend a browse of some steam era yard plans. Can't really offer you more advice than that as I know stuff all about QR practice at any time.

Pinza,
Where would I be able to find some of these ? I tried doing different searches for maps and plans and came up with nothing much. Could have been putting in the wrong words to search also.
Thanks
Glen

Hahaha! No it's not an extension of the BVL. Just having a breather so I don't get burnt out from it. Just dabbling with the NCL for the time being :) Love your screenshot Timo! Perfect.

Hi Glen,

maybe this is a helpful link it has a range of track plans, you will have to search the different pdf files.

http://www.artc.com.au/Content.aspx?p=38

Or if you go to Ian's on Sunday I can give them to you (approx 20Mb)

Cheers,

Bill.

Phew, I'm glad someone asked about the EMU. I didn't want to step on any toes ;) .

I just love the side detail - you can see the rivets on that flat panel near the doors, where they used to have the 'Save the Planet' stickers. That's the best QR EMU I've seen in Trainz by far.
