Is it really worth it?

Hi everybody

First off, all the photos look great, congrats to all the builders of the layouts and trainz (or trains). Is the latest version on TRS worth it? I recentyl found TRS2009 and thought I would install it again, and found out about this latest version. So, is it worth it?

Thanks, SARRailways

@ Matt, Your texturing has improved out of site :) That small layout has a lot of promise. Just work on one thing one night and something different the next to keep you moving in the right direction.

@ Muliebuck - Mate, simply stunning work once again. Its nice to see the modular master back showing us his skills :)

@ Sarrailways - Yes Trainz 2012 is worth it (IMO) best version to date (Once again IMO) I get far superior frame rates in 2012, compared to 2010.

@ Mattm - (Progress shot as your were after) Thanks for allowing me to add in one of your modular sections to Port Levendale. It is what I was looking for for this part :) Though the station has changed (to suit the area I am building) I am sure you recognize your work :)

I've always found the PLs quite a nice looking loco. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I do think the QR Blue and White livery would suit them rather well.

They look great David.

Indeed he has, such a shame there was only so few made, and sooo many of my personal favorite, the 48 Class, recently turned into scrap metal, tis a sad day, but those PL's look great, but thats the quality we've been spolt with with Davido's and Natvanders quality :)

Matt, the breaking up of the dirt has improved that yard out of sight. Agree with the notion of "ballasting" the road (this is what I do, anyway). I then run a lighter texture on either side of it to blend it in with the grass.

David, those PL's are unreal! Just when I was mourning them being lost from service, they pop up in Trainz! Hurruh!

Nice engines David, though odd, I look at them and visualize a duck...LOL> Go figure. Think I best see a doctor lmao

Cheers

Thanks Raichase.

Glad everyone likes it so far.

Actually, you're not the only one. There is a slight duck-ishness to the way they look.

Matt.

Don't flatter yourself, I hate it! I just said it had improved! :hehe: .

Seriously though, I do look forward to you taking it a bit further. Modules just don't do it for me, if I'm going to build a route, I'll build it from scratch as I too enjoy placing a town and yard, rather than just endless track!

Thanks Raichase, I'd say the same about your work, but I think we all know that'd be a lie.:p

Late 50's 'action' as 3235 leads the weekly goods into Hopefield, the sun not long over the horizon.
