Indeed. I took a D53 out with a realistic load over a 1 in 66 on a custom map and it was barely reaching 30mph, although for a D53 I suppose that is a realistic speed.

NSWGR CPH Railmotor

Again this started out as an upgrade of the old model and ended up a total rebuild from the bogeys up. Everything is new and has been beta tested in 2010. However, it is very usable in 2004 and upwards. The beta testers are happy with it and you can find it over at Victrainz Content Release announcement forum You need to Register to view the message and link

Sometimes you get a model that just comes together to make a nice model. This one is improved on the first with texturing and build and then there is the main bogie made by billegulla that makes this thing poetry in motion. Thanks Bill

My next project...

Stevo

I wonder if we could talk narrowgauge into uploading 2010 versions to the DLS?

I think a MP version of Puffing Billy at Belgrave or
the Beechey would be fantastic :udrool:

Wasn't somebody building Ferntree Gully to Gembrook in 2009?
Cheers

I'm running 2010 and it works fine... wel more than fine... Pity I can't reskin them to the coloured livery...

I was working on Belgrave to Gembrook but gave up when I upgraded from 06... Had to share a computer then so I didn't have much time to work on it...

Now I need to disk clean my computer as its not working tip top ATM...

@Pete, do you have any specular or glossiness on the textures? None of the fine detail stands out in those textures settings it appears.

Great model though! Excellent work.

Railpower S Class

Just spent the last 45mins re-skinning the VR S Class into Railpower Colours :
I have to figure out why the S has a white box over it...

I sure it does Stevo, but not in cab mode, and they will not run in MP :'(
which was what I was on about.
Almost everything runs in DCC mode, but a steam engine deserves to driven :hehe: Cheers

I see you used Pete's "S" as well. :)

However I seem to remember Pete had the same problem.
As it is a one off engine, you might disable the automatic numbering system in the config, and just texture the number S312 in?

If you spent a few hours longer would you be able to tidy up the logo?

Hi Rod, I will try changing it to no auto numbering and fix the logo up, it was the best i could do as there are no decent logo's online.

Very nice David! :)

If you want to, send them this way wade3tommy_glebron23AThotmail.com (change AT for @) and I can fix up the logo and put on dual marker lights and ditch lights :)

Tom :)

P.S. The 'S' on the numberboard was either a alpha issue or a wrong sized texture, can't remember. Either way I can fix that too :)

Hi Daniel,

As I stated before, I apply specular but no gloss on weathered steam locos except in areas that should have gloss. The reason behind this is because in all the years I was observing or catching operational steam locos, they were never "shiny" except if they had received a new paint job or a wash which was a rare event indeed Diesels on the other hand got grotty and still maintained some shine.

cheers
pete
