Australian screenshots

I fully plan on making sessions avaliable. Once the route is complete and released with sessions, I'll get to work on the next phase...

Ok good, nothing annoys me more than a magnificent route thats been released without sessions, especially when I have no idea what trains ran where the route is bassed.:hehe:

lookin' good ghosty, can't wait to see your work on the DLS:D
in other news if you want you can check screens from Manye Prep, all the track has been laid for the Base Section

Ghosty - your screenshots show you seem to have the knack for including enough detail to make the scene look complete, without overdoing it in the background. I find I do the opposite, I underdo my background scenery, and then return to find it lacking, and overdo it, spending time working on something that will only be seen from a distance.

Your screenshots are inspiring, especially to someone who has trouble with large towns/housing areas. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your kind words. Dressing the scene can be a difficult one, between what looks realistic and frame rates, so i try and find the line of compromise that has a good look to it but is not gonna drag frame rates through the floor.

My current layout that has been under development for a long time now...

Based and themed on South Australia.

Every platform is a passenger industry. Various industry site located all over the route. 3 main lines all terminating at "Adelaide".

Hills line is currently most finished with Mountain line and Suburban commuter line slowly under work.

Temprasphere - those shots are great! Well done.

Ghosty - Your usual high standard, I recognised all of the locations before reading the text. Good stuff. The only thing I'll say is that the bridge between Wilston and Windsor (Kedron Brook Rd?) was, in the era you are modelling, timber.

Nice work all.

Nice shots Ghosty & Temprasphere... awesome!

I've been asked by a few people why don't I post modern day shots, so here is 2011 in full glory... 3265 & 3237 on tour :p

Seeming I haven't posted screenies for a while, here are some from me. All were shot on the Wadabavale Line route

4703, 4463 and 4498 lead their container down the hill approaching Karrah Bay,
where they will load. Once loading is complete, 4703 will be detached,
leaving the 2 44's to continue to Wadalbavale.

CLP13 and CLP11 lead their container train through the S-bend at Halley River

NR103 leads a short steel train past Sundley.

AN5, 8161 and AN1 lead a grain train through Grevillia Junction.

5 minutes later, they are approaching Karrah Bay

Once loading is complete, 4703 will be detached,
leaving the 2 44's to continue to Wadalbavale.
Gess I bet the loco crew are not to happy about giving up the nice smooth ride of the 47 and its nice roomy cab to then have to jump into a 44 class, Its just lucky the 44 is not running flat cab first other wise the crew could just find a reason to fail the 44 and take the 47 instead. I know I would :) .

If Trainman3801 was really a friend of his crew, he'd put on 2208, currently on hire from ARG to IRA! ;)

I didn't notice any rough riding :hehe:. Anyway, 4703 could ruturn for the charge up the hill from Karrah Bay to Wattle Ck. But first I want to have some fun with the 44's on a hill :D.

Hmmm, 2 44's on 850 tonnes up a continuous 1.5%-2% grade... wonder how that'll go?

Sorry Raichase, 2208 is working trip trains in the Sydney area and couldn't be released in time for this trains departure.:p
