Sorry to include two screenshots in a quote, but do you mind me asking where I can get the rocks on the embankment (first screenshot) and SRA 44 class (second screenshot) please? :)

Hmm, not sure about the rocks, Ronayne. But the NSWSRA Candy 44 is on the DLS. Search for username 'Davido' and scroll through a few pages 'till you find it. It's a brilliant model, though I like the old NSWGR versions more.:p
Thanks,
Mitch

Most of my modular routes, small, usually single-three board max, are freely available to others via the Download Station, just search for my username.

Now, here's a little something I threw together, more as an overview experiment on some new textures I downloaded.

@ Mitch456yui, Timothetoolman and Rbar_64, thank you for the replies.
@Mattm, Thankyou for your comment. :)

Seeing as I am incapable of retaining motivation to work on a route, I have started work on another. :o

Textures primarily used were the new ones labelled JR on the DLS, others were TS09 textures, many can be downloaded from the DLS as well (I believe), they're fairly 'large' files though, but the effects can be truly inspirational.

Mules, can I make a suggestion? Do some other 'non station' modules :)

Just 1 or 2 baseboard maps that are designed around a specific scene. E.g. a module designed around a river/bridge scene, or designed around a level crossing scene (e.g. a road running parallel for a short distance).

That sort of thing :)

Yep that would be good.
And don't forget to keep the heights and the orientation the same ;) Its hard to connect them all up :)
Cheers

Laidley Part 1

Grandchester to Laidley opened yesterday morning, and we see some shots of a 2000 class running over the line.

An early start was made from Roma St with a full load of people

A quick stop at Rosewood

Once we're onto the single track section, the scenery changes significantly, from straight, gently rising double track to windy, steep grades and earthworks. This is tunnel 1, the oldest in Qld.

Yarongmulu. I'd have loved to put the signal box in, but this is present-day QR - no garden.

On the western side of the range, the double track recommences, but on seperate alignments and, in some places, heights, in order to make the Down line's grade (opposite line to our train's) easier. We're on the Up track, of 1866 alignment, heading downhill all the way to Laidley.

A bit further down the line, past the horseshoe curve, the line seperates to its fullest extent.

Laidley Part 2

ryanmcc201101190023.jpg

At last, a little civilisation!

ryanmcc201101190025.jpg

Almost there, the Orton St bridge. Always a favourite location for train spotters.

This train terminates here...

The boom gates must have been down for a while.

The main street of Laidley. When put together, don't the buildings look the part!

The line currently continues another km to the west. As can be seen by the farms, the next section to GAtton should be a quick and easy build. But a bit more NZ first.
