Australian screenshots

Ah, what the hell! Haven't posted shots for a while.

The following were taken on a single board module constructed using '09 built-in content.

Not many people know this, but a few Government beurocrates working in the Tresury Office, did not want to see the raining monarch: Queen Elizabeth II to get drenched. So they hang a rubber tier around the statue.

Only In Queensland :)

Guys I might be off and on a while. I am helping out with the clean-up gangs after the floods.

Cheers

Michael, the 6D17 looks very nice. Did you recieve my email BTW?
P.S. Mitch, the model of 5713 was not a genuine loco but an official Railway Department proposal. Falls in the same category as the ellusive C37 class.

Matt and Zac, nice shots

But I think Boobyless Ed's trees would look much better in the flora area

Jamie

Thanks, glad you like them.

I agree with your assessment of the trees, however until i get some time to do a mass DL of content, I'm stuck with what was provided by Auran.

Matt.

Another Great Day In Qld

Good Afternoon, Everyone.

@Scott, do you know where the exact location of Mayne Junction railway station was? Overall awesome shots

@Mulie, you have done it again. Great shots, mate.

@Zachary; Fine job, keep going. I like the representation of the modern scene/ classical views of Victoria. Your a rising star, and just keep shinning. 5 stars

@Evan:I did recive your email, but it read it just in time before a massive storm cut power....lucky save I guess :hehe: . Could it be possible if you could make some springs for your bogie just to make my life a little bliss& a set of 6 valances for my 'revised' B13. I have made some holes in the frame plus modified Auran's PB15 drivers to a B13 diameter & gauging.; I have started on the wheels and the main frame of the carriage bogies. Enough K-Rudding; here is a screenshot....

Mayne Station was in the rail yard at Western end of Edmondstone Rd. Google earth
27°26'32.37"S 153° 2'16.31"E

You can view Mayne Station in the Aerial Photography of Brisbane in 1946.
Railpage has instructions on how to do that and a list of some of the things we located.

http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t11347745-0-asc-s0.htm

Mayne Junction Railway Station became Mayne Station in 1943 when several stations lost the term "Junction" according to John Kerr's "Brunswick Street, Bowen Hills and beyond : the railways of the northern suburbs of Brisbane" P.23.

Michael, a copy of that book should be in the AMRA's Zillmere library.

Cheers

another SAR loco, the 700 class, progress. This was originally Billegulla's D59 class. Just about everything on this loco has been changed except for the smoke box, frame and cab floor. I thought this would be a quick job, but no. Still have the tender to do.

Very nice work on the steamer there Pete, I might have to build something special to show it off when its ready - now - if I could just figure out SAR signalling....

This is (somewhat) loosely based on what Chakola, NSW looks like. For those who are wondering, Chakola is a small station and yard next to a large farm and an abandoned school house, and its also in the middle of nowhere. It is part of the Canberra/Queanbeyan to Bombala line.
