Australian screenshots

Hi Raichase,

Nice screenshots all.

No pressure at all,:hehe: they are listed as 20ft and 40ft Cont Refr Product (1-6)

"snip screenshot"

also finished some QR signs for the Toowoomba-Charleville line.

Will upload them all today.

Cheers,

Bill.

They are now available on the DLS.
Should look allright on those (very nice) Vline VQAW's Pete.

Cheers,

Bill.

Morning all,

Pete and Bill, some more lovely looking content from the two of you. Where would us Aussies be without your (and all the other content creators) you-beaut models, eh?

Anyway, some more from me. Killed a few more hours expanding my latest module slightly.

Bill - thanks heaps mate, those look fantastic. I'll download them now and send them along my layout later this evening during more "testing" (I don't seem to test my track as much as drive along and make sure it looks nice).

Pete - The more container flats the better I say, nice looking container flat, might have to give it a whirl! I wonder if these 3-pack wagons are still being used today (by PN?) on the standard/broad gauge?

Matt - Looking good, the only thing I would suggest would be to add a telegraph wire along the side of the track - this is one detail I often omitted, until I started paying attention when I looked out the train window. Sadly, these are slowly being removed from the sides of railway lines (eg the Canberra Branch), but it's not the same.

Some great work being posted all.

I have soem pictures of a trackside items that any budding builder might be interested in. The items in question are the New ARTC Distance markers trackside signal huts of both major and minor safeworking and a trackside phone for releasing manual point safeworking. Any builder interested just get in touch with me.

Hi Scott,

feel free to forward them and I will have a look at them for you.
also if you still have the fullsize container ones I would like them as well.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Bill.

An extra up IRA freight carrying loading from the west through to Cooks River behind 4498 and leased 2208. A number of refrigerated wagons appear on the wagons. They're looking good thanks Bill!

Sorry for the double post, but here's a return working of 4708, 4701, 4703 and 4717, seen here passing through the township of Bluetongue Creek, and taking to the refuge. There's a small section of bi-directional track here before the line becomes uni-directional double track for a few km's.

Raichase, thanks for the comment. I added the telegraph poles alongside the track, because you asked so nicely:hehe:, but if you spot any more areas that need attention, detail-wise, please keep quite.:o

I have a fair amount of motivation to work on this route at the moment, and i would like to get as much basic detail down as possible before I get stuck into the heavy duty stuff. If I get bogged down with the heavy stuff now, the motivation will slowly trickle away, and i will just end up getting frustrated; and stop work on it all together!

Anyway, enough of that. Expanded the route by a few boards over the weekend; the shots show (not very well, but hey:o) the work done.

Matt, if you have any people people called 'n ...(Man, woman etc.) ' place them on your stations, they're animated people, and they read books, check the time, drink beer, talk, eat food, play on their phone etc.

Jamie, I assume you mean the animated people by Neoklai? If so, I do have a fair few, and once i have got a few more K's of track laid down, I'll go back and start to add some more detail, such as the animated people.

mattm, looking really good now, the telegraph poles might seem minor to you, but it increases the atmosphere a great deal.

Raichase, thanks. The telegraph isn't a minor detail, as such, it's just that I would like to get as much basic track-work, landscaping and texturing done as possible, before i go back and start adding the finer touches to the detail.

Cheers,

Matt.

Woodhousie
helps if there werre NG bogies. Alby6 has been absent and so far i have yet to be able to reach him about it. I think they do require NG bogies to make them complete.

It sure does. Is anyone interested in some derelict telegraph poles, with missing insulators and wires? I have a few of them (one and two cross-arm models available, and each with a different amount of insulators). Oh, and you can tilt them to, so they look like they are gradually falling over.

@ Mattm - Do you mind me asking where you found those 3d tracks please?

Thankyou

Ronayne, the tracks are available on the DLS: look for UK Bullhead. There are several versions available, including one specifically for 09/10. I, however, am using the older version, as I think that it better suits the atmosphere that I am trying to capture.

Okay, thankyou.

Trent, even though you may not know the exact location of that chapel, still very iconic! And you nailed it. Great shot for when A Steam Train Passes :p

The serenity of a quiet day in the country is shattered as 4494/4536/4525/4427 blast through Jacaranda Flats. And passed the newly commissioned interlocking hut built by the Willem2 enginerring works.
