Australian screenshots

G'day!

Forest_Runner, some truly magnificent shots there mate! Looks just like the Outback! :D

By the way, what road type is the one in the second shot? And also, does that powerline in the second shot come with lights attached? :o And what is it's kuid number please! :)

Cheers! :)

Jake.

So as to assist with testing of new trains, as well as way and works trains, etc, ZR recently obtained a former PRR SW7 locomotive (number 9392). The loco has been patched with 'ZR' markings for this use. It may, possibly, be repainted into the VR/ZR in future :)

Enjoy :)

@ Kent, is this getting close? Have to do a water tank and downpipes to suit. You have very low platforms there, the building stumps are only 2 feet high, or should I make the longer so you can sink it into the ground to suit QR platforms of various heights?

I've heard that you cannot get help for older versions anymore ?
So can anyone help me, i backed up my local folder and reinstalled trainz ( 06 ) and copied the local back in, is there anything to do after that ? CMP shows nothing new and theres nothing in game.

While I have not used 2006 that much, I would do an Extended Database Repair if that's available. It may take some time depending on the amount of content.

Thanks for compliments and interest, Rastis.

Roads: "ET Road Asphalt" variety, built in to TS2010. There is both a plain and centre lined version. I find these roads two of the best for TS2010, for their height, the way they snap to level crossings, traffic height, traffic shadows and night time light capture.

Overall I found it difficult to obtain the trade off as listed above. The whole level crossing and road combination in the sim is still something of a dog's breakfast!!

Powerlines/lines: kitbashed combination of the built in "Telegraph 4 Wire" spline and "Light old1" scenery object. I then lower the light poles to -0.30, so the night light aura doesn't hover above the ground if you were to leave it at 0.0 height.

If you kitbash in this manner, recommend you finalise the splines first, otherwise you'll be forever moving light poles around (yeah found out the hard way).

Happy Birthday Trent
Well done Patchy, at least a misserable day in paradise is still a good one.

Cheers,

Bill.

Trent, Happy Birthday. Have a great day.

Patchy, Excellent shots. Keep up the great work.

And a word to any content creator willing to help, I'm having some problems with Trainz Asset Creation Studio for Gmax which is preventing me from exporting my platform meshes to Trainz. I keep getting the following error messages when I attempt to run TACS:
"mtlgen.dlt Is Missing"
followed by:
"gmax failed to start"
If anyone has a solution to this problem, please PM me.

Pete, Yarraman station looks fantastic. Can't thank you enough. It will be a welcomed addition and a fitting terminus station for the Brisbane valley branch.
Patchy, your Kingaroy branch is coming along very nicely. Great stuff.

Happy Birthday
Trent

Hope the day is a great one for you. I'll have a drink for you later.:D

Patchy, lovely shots. I love the feel that this route has, even through a screenshot. Well done!

Matt.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes (Getting old now hehe), yeah had to work today which sucked. But that's life for most of us hey. Going to sit back and have some Trainz time for the rest of the day :) Might actually get some screenshots up for a change since I have been abit slack lately.

Seen some brilliant work being shown in the Aussie forums in the last week or two. I enjoy so much the time I spend in here looking at some great idea, skills, etc that are being used by you all in Trainz.

Well, now time to grab a beer or two, or three, or four hehe and load up Trainz.

Cheers

Trent
