Australian screenshots

G'day SAR!

I don't recommend TS2010. Stay with TS2009 while you can! :D I tried out TS2010 and it was very buggy.>??? :(

Cheers! :)

Jake.
You sure Jake, maybe you're computer wasn't powerful enough. My computer run '10 well and the only problem is SP3 only shows uploads on CM, not online DLS

After seeing all of the awesome screenshots, I've been pushing extra hard to get some textures down so I could post some of my own. It still needs work, but we're getting somewhere!

An 81 and a 48 haul a down Freightcorp/Manildra Group freight through Linton. Going by the passengers waiting on the platform, the pass from Sydney must be due!

Looking east (up) as the train arrives onto platform 1 (the main platform).

The dock platform, used for the railmotor connection with the (name of passenger service) from Sydney to (name of branchline).

Looking across the up yard at Linton Railway Workshops. Currently the up yard is configured to produce wool bales (the loading bank platform), consume petrol and diesel (the fuel siding), and consume general goods and fertiliser (the goods shed). To the east there will be a medium sized container siding.

This area is based on the Bathurst area, with a couple of creative alterations to make it "Linton". The station building is one of ad602000's models iirc, and it's a bloody ripper! I'd forgotten I'd downloaded it, until I was looking for a suitable station building to use with a dock platform arrangement.

Raichase, great shots. The station building is indeed one of AD602000's and it is a ripper indeed. Personally, I have practically standardised on his station buildings. Thanks Pete!

Raichase,

Looks good so far. And who needs textures? I know i don't!:o

Daniel,

Love the shots. As has been mentioned, the track looks very nice, despite what you may think.
Could i ask a small request, as well, while i'm here? We've all seen the incredible detail and care that has gone into areas that are immediately adjacent to the track, but has that same care and attention to detail gone into the none rail-related areas of the route?
What i would like to see, if you would be so kind, is the towns that are along the rail line, and how you have laid them out. Just to get an idea how you do these things, and maybe get a few ideas of my own.

Cheers,

Matt.

Daniel,

Your attention to detail is second to none. I love looking at all your shots as they are so close to the real thing.

I work for Countrylink and I fly through most of these places on a daily basis and I reconise them in your shots. I can't wait to explorer this route thoroughly!

If you need anyone to test your route, please count me in!!

Speaking of which. I'm back up and running and able to pump out a few more sets should anyone require them for WIP routes.

Rai: If you've got any decent high quality shots (at least 2048x2048) of ground textures in that area I can work on a pack for you. Preferably directly above looking down for best results.

I was wondering when that new track inspection unit would come up in conversation...

I've planted a couple of trees, thrown down some more textures, and started laying track west.

Sad? Three sets in preservation* and one set turned into a track recording vehicle (with another set retained for the same treatment, or perhaps as a source of spare parts)

*One at the NSWRTM, one at the Rail Motor Society, and one with Goodwin Alco who have their set at the Rail Motor Society as well.

I knew you'd say that Trent....but even the CityRail livery was sad.
