Some quick shots from my current route, Cooma Monaro Railway. It is loosely based on the line from Canberra/Queanbeyan to Batlow, via Cooma and Michelago.
The route is also based in the 60's/70's when small 48 and 45 class Alcos still trundled along the line with mixed goods trains.

~ Chris,
Batlow? Is there some secret route we don't know about? :hehe: You seem to have your railway geography a tad mixed here. To allow those less familiar with the NSWGR's geography, here is a site which explains the full route in a good level of detail: http://nswrail.net/lines/show.php?name=NSW:bombala. The route is one which I find very interesting and captivating (must have something to do with me being born in Cooma less than a month after the last train). Please do keeps us posted I'll be watching this route's progress closely.
I'm assuming the station in your screenshots is representing Cooma?
I am looking forward to working on the section of line in Hume, Canberra. Hume is a good place to look for railway insulators, and I go there frequently.![]()
Looking very fine Mr Commisioner. Walkers Limited have outdone themselves. As I've said, I will be quite happy to take on building a set of QGR platforms for my friends north o' the border, however it will have to wait until I have uploaded the NSWGR ones and until the completion of my HSC exams. When you can, email me the measurements listed a couple of pages back and some photographs of a platform in your local area and I'll knock them together for you.Hello All
New Locomotives have arrived from Walkers Limited, Marybourgh. All have been commisioned today, Long Live the QGR!![]()
We are going to have a extra large druel bucket and mop; good grief not over the floor :mop:![]()

I assumed the branch went up to Batlow
Ronayne, a friend of mine once walked from Letchworth to Hume along the line, and then hiked up a seperate path to Tuggeranong. We also drove down to ride on the CMR, and we checked out Royalla and Michelago ago Station stations, as well as an unknown siding on the down side of the Colinton tunnel. Sadly the tunnel is on private land, so no access.
My photos are all more or less online:

I attacked it from both a photographers and a railway historians point of view, so the shots might not help you with your layout, but some of them might!
Shall I post some photos?
Nice Daniel, what's the track, MP Wood Is it??
Jamie
I agree. I have not yet had a chance to explore the line. I do know there is an old Lancashire boiler down at Maclaughlin dumped outside the metalworks there along with several other bits of machinery.I personally would find them interesting - it's been a while since I've visited those locations, hopefully not much has changed!
