Zec, that sounds like a lot of fun! If nothing else, I'd be interested to see the quarry set up. I'm always doing things my way, but sometimes you see something on another layout and you think "gee, I never thought of doing it that way", and it inspires you to do bigger and better things.

Is it on the DLS? I'm going to do a search now!

EDIT: I found V1 - is V2 uploaded somewhere else? The Victrainz forums, perhaps?

What do you get when you have... the steam era, heavy motive power, an empty mineral train, and an outback sunset??...

THE ANSWER: More excellent shots from Forest_Runner, of course.

Bravo, sir. My hat goes of to you, as you have outdone yourself once more.

Matt.

Very nice Forest Runner :)

Trent, I think you'll find V2 is a fair way off, however I'll let Zec expand on that :)

Zec, I had the same idea for mine as you, alas, mines a lot smaller and still needs a lot done to bring it up to scratch, however you've given me a few ideas :)

Last shot is basically everything I'm working on at the moment, minus things not yet in game nor the PH Vans.

Tom :)

Hi All

Today saw some more work done on the F class locos, with numbering being setup, and another variation added.

They are, left to right in the first photo (reversed in the second): F174 in Canadian Red with split bunker, F180 in Canadian Red with standard bunker, F172 in VR black as warn in the 1920s, and F176 (should be F178... lol) with cow catchers on each end.

Still more work (including a few more versions), but they are getting there :)

Have fun!
Zec

@rbar_164, are you talking about the shed in which the C class locos are stabled in?
Here are the kuids for it if that is the case.
Shed steel beam open: <kuid:156702:340>
Shed steel beam closed sides: <kuid:156702:341>
Shed steel beam closed side: <kuid:156702:342>
Shed steel beam closed: <kuid:156702:343>
Shed steel beam closed end: <kuid:156702:344>
These 5 buildings will allow you a great many different combinations for enginesheds, industrial shed, etc, etc.
Regards, Evan.

Yes they have been built. I need to talk with ad602000 about them.
They have some dimensional faults that need addressing, but they do look the part
Cheers

Have not been into MSTS for a long time. But it is highly noticeable that when people build locos there they build the matching cabs as well.
For some reason (possibly they are too damn hard?) Cabs are not built much in Trainz :'(

Cheers
Rod
ps I am just a user too ;)

Please excuse my newbness to Australian railways but I was wondering, is there a specific horn code for railroad crossings and for forward, backward and stop movement like here in the US?

A single whistle blast when approaching a level crossing or tunnel.

Three short whistle blasts to reverse.

When approaching a worksite, one whistle to let the workers know you are approaching, then another whistle blast to acknowledge their "right of way" hand signal.

We used to have a single whistle blast when departing platforms, or departing from a stand, but now the whistle to depart the platform is no longer required.
