Australian screenshots

D9007 Pinza

Its still a work in progress the scrap yard was just thrown together to see how it would look. Still work to be done with it.

the item you seek is a industrial structure numbered 31 i am using 2010 and i am guessing its a built in item its kuid is 523:1385, some of the other features used in the scrap yard are some of the other industrial structures there a re a few just have to go through them to see what there is.

Thanks for that info Ghosty. Can't find it on the DLS so it appears it would be inbuilt. Oh well, just have to wait till my copy of TS2010 arrives in EB Games...

Ghosty - a very impressive cement works and scrap yard! I mus task, what is the grill under the rails at your cement works? That seems to work a lot better than the one I have!

the grill is by Dinorius_Redundicus its called Loading grill 01 it does not include track so what i did was place a short multiple industry track ( "Multi Ind str l= 10m EN" KUID2: 102376:63031:2) then added a rails only section of track to it to give the right look then attached the track i wanted to use for the the siding.

Morning all, no screenshots for a while, I'm fully in route construction mode ATM. Here's some shots from the last few days.

Pete

it comes down to what service pack you have installed for 2010. With SP2 i think you will find its 3.2 with SP3 i think you will find its 3.3.

Pete, I have 2010 with SP3 and in a new layout the build number is 3.3.

However, I would not use this number as it may restrict some people in downloading/using the content. If the wagons work in 2009/2006 I would use one of those numbers for now .... my choice would be 2009 but I am not sure of the build number.

Hi Beau6002.

Welcome to the Forums!:D We hope you enjoy your stay, but please stay out of the firing line.... you see, we're hunting "gimme" pigs.:hehe:

Now, to your problem.

You have to bear in mind that TS2010 is considerably larger than most other Trainz versions. You really need a high-spec computer to run it efficiently. I use a 1GB graphics/video card, plus a 500GB hard drive, so I'm covered in that respect. But if you want good performance, you really need to go above the "Minimum Requirements". A lot.

So, I hope this helps you out Beau!
Happy Trainzing,;)
Scott.

EDIT: Also note that nobody will answer your questions straight away. Patience is the key around here. Good things come to those who wait.

Flinders, Outback South Oz... a T class and water-gin is turned on the Wye, as it lopes past the reservoir. (shock horror... yes that is a morsel of greenery).

Water from the reservoir is pumped into the small treatment plant behind the water tank in the yard. The concept is prototypical to Hawker SA... as is the track plan and general rail infrastructure.

Nice explosion of screenshots over the weekend, guys. Excellent stuff, ideas and creativity.

Ghosty... awesome looking scrap row you have there. It's great to see people attempt some different, uncommon or unusual scenes!

Lesley... love the cold wet night mood/atmosphere.

Patchy... beautiful lowlight outback shots with headlight glare. I've gotta try that.

Ryan... Wow!! That's about as good as it gets in this sim. I know you have your reasons, and naturally respect them, but IMHO it is a darn shame you won't be making this beauty public.

Pete... nice looking tankers. A must for most Aussie trainzers!

Muliebuck??... you out there, champ??

Forest_Runner,

Nice shots, as we've come to expect from you. Flinders looks to be a busy place.

Ghostryder,

Nice shot. I love the detail in the scene, but as someone's already said the scrapyard does look just a little too 'neat'. It's okay to have some order, but someone went too a fair bit of trouble to organize that the way they did. Possibly a little too much, i think.

Thank you also to yourself, and Raichase, for the info on Broadmeadow yard. Much obliged, sir. Does anybody know where i might be able to get diagrams of the old Newcastle yards? I've taken to studying yard diagrams for ideas to use on my own route, and i wouldn't mind having a look at Newcastle, from back when it was much busier than it is today.

Matt.
