Australian screenshots

Jamie,

Nice shots. Love the route you've got going there. Very nice.

rbar_164,

I know my opinion don't count for much:( but i like it. You've got some nice detailing work done; looks good so far, keep it up.
As for Ronaynes comment about the American grade crossing, you work with what you have. If you can find a better one, use it; otherwise, who cares?

Matt.

Pete!
Oh, and Stevy, why do you have 2 shots which are the same?? And what's that fence??

Jamie:hehe:

PS Matt, that's PEV's route:o

Jamie, where did you get those? *correction* who sent you the beta for those?

Now I know my this little module will never be as good as forest's or Mulie's but I would still like some feedback on how you like it :)

Cheers
Steve

That's coming along fantastic, Steve!! I do however recommend switching out the Yank Grade crossing, for something a little more Aussie - or at least use a crossing where the boom gate is one the left hand side.

Kudos for the rocks and grass effect. That looks realistic! Plus the use of the now legendary corrugated fence. Great stuff.

For a bit of triva, an XPT set is made up of:

XP Power Cars x2
XFH Luggage Van x1
XAM Sleeper Car x1
XBR Buffet Car x1
XL First Class Sitter x1
XF Econmy Class Sitter either x2 for a 6 car set or x3 for a 7 car set.

Just a thought after coming home from work.....:D

Don't forget the poor Dubbo XPT! 2 Power Cars, one XFH, one XF, one XBR and one XL!

Thanks for the comments guys :) They mean a lot.

If someone could suggest an Australian crossing similar to the US one could you please tell me. I used that because it looked similar to the ones around here (apart from the opisite sides of course:hehe: )

Thanks again
Steve :Y:

Yes Uncle Rob put out a pack of level crossings with the correct signage
In fact he made the US versions as well.
They should work still.
Alex from VicTrainz had the rights to upgrade them for trs2004 I think.
Would not be surprised if a search under Robs Kuid 523 might find what you want. Someone at Victrainz will have it anyway ;)
Cheers
Rod

While I'm here... Zec made some VR traffic. How do you put them on the road? is it something in the config?
Can someone please walk me through it?:hehe:

Steve

Forest_Runner,

Nice shots. I love the outback feel you've given the route. Your standard of detailing is nice, too. 'That fence' is becoming slightly old, though, in my very humble opinion. *Cringe* Please don't hurt me!

Matt.

stryker made a number of excellent Aussie level crossings for specific states (as far as I can find on the DLS there are crossings for Queensland and Western Australia, in both road and pedestrian versions) for TRS 04. I thoroughly recommend them to anyone developing an Aussie-themed Trainz route. :)

Enkidoh,

Great suggestion, and one i recommend that people take seriously. However, by the looks of it, those crossings are already in use on rbar_164's route.

Matt.

Ah, no problem Matt, I was only searching for 04 content by default so those NSW crossings weren't showing up in the search results. ;)

They're still great crossings in any event.

And rbar, your route is looking good. You're really capturing the Aussie feel with it. :)
