Australian screenshots

Forest_Runner, once again you do immense justice and provide a great tribute to a highly artistic surveyor, Axe1970, and one of the God's of Aussie rollingstock creation, Davido. How are you with a real camera, i wonder? Please, continue to post your excellent shots of Georgetown to Tarin Rocks. With no '09 serial number, it's the closest i will get to this masterpiece.

Also looking at the pics of Patchys' route, and thinking it might be worth a download. What do you think? (Patchy can't answer, he's biased:hehe:.)

Matt.

Edit: Go the mighty Eels for tonight!

Edit #2: Mitch, just looked at your pic, and despite the fact that it's broad daylight, probably mid-afternoon, i can't help noticing the headlight appears to be lit on the lead C-class loco. Might wanna turn it off next time.:hehe:

You'll find a lot of trains outside the suburban area have headlights on - to improve visibility of the train at level crossings. Plus, it makes for nice photos!

Well, pardon me for my ignorance, i'm sure! No, that's cool, specially if it's true (and why lie to me?) It is always good to learn new things.

Ok guys, i surrender. You win:D. Raichase, please accept my most humble apologies for doubting you, and causing offence (if any.) I always like to learn new things, especially with relation to railway operations, and that is one more nugget of knowledge to add to my collection.

Respectfully yours,

Matt.

Thanks mate.:)
And, yep, Raichase was right. I see the intermodal trains (Brisbane - Sydney and such) and they have their lights on during the day.
Thanks,
Mitch

Ok, three people are stating that this is S.O.P, with photos to back it up. I believe you all now. I'll have to take a closer look next time i see a goods go past.
BTW: Does this mean that Auran got something right with the AI, in having them leave the headlights on, night and day?:D

I can vouch Patchy's routes are worth the download for TS2010. I tried to play "spot the stutter"... and I'm failing. The routes are extremely well done. Honestly have no idea how she goes in TRS2006 (which I think they were made for??).

Anyways, some more...

Patchy,
I drove from Canberra to Townsville once, the back way through St George, Roma, Charters Towers etc I have not downloaded your route as yet, but may I say, that they appear spot on to what I saw while traveling in that area.

Your Job orders for today are to take the short Freight up to Dorrigo yards. What you do after that is up to you. :)

Coming Soon

The Victorian stuff goes pretty well on the route axe. Nice...very nice.

Look forward to it indeed.

Can I make a suggestion? :) Place a couple of the WT (DW) wagons (the pink tanks) between the oil pots and the guards van, or a bogie wagon or two. Basically, put some cars between them in case of fire/accident ;)

Also, I would suggest mixing some other stock in there (the QN would likely only run with the N ballast plow and a guards van, unless being transferred in a longer freight consist :) ).

If you want, throw the basic session my way, and I'll modify the consists around for you (not overly good with setting AI up, although I am learning :) ).

I think I've got a couple of 'demo' consists assets here that I can send you as well :)

Axe,
Are those locomotives left up in the quote up for download for TRS2006? If so, could you point me in the right direction?

Cheers,
Joshua
