Some really interesting stuff seems to be happening recently. Nice work everyone. And great to see you've released your route axe. It looks fantastic!

I've been working on textures for Petes wonderful NSWGR 421.

Still a long way to go, but it's looking quite nice.

From a recent news report....

Concrete, Wood and Metal railway sleepers with Ballasted beds of stone are now a thing of the past say's a past time QR executive from the 1800's speaking from his grave. The effect of Queenslands new railway lines will be quad-drupelled more than a dozen times in industry profits over the coming months.

A petition was granted by the Majistrates of some heavily corrupt officials and cheif representitives of the State Transport Dept - leaked at a conference that they had a Contract in Partnership with the Premier of Queensland in an attempt of draining Bligh of her assets and leaving her and her organisation bankrupt in order to fulfill the current goal of completing the new "TRACK OF (BLIGH'S) TREASURE" or socalled "LINE OF GREAT LOOT".

The new track design for Queensland Railway's will consist of 999.99% Gold Bar sleepers and endless truck loads of Bligh's loose change to cover for rail bedding. It's believed the new rails will be of solid Platinum with the Premier's very own signature with encrusted silver spikes ....... yet to be installed.

May keep you upto date with more of the story as it slowly ............ and progressivly ............. unfolds.

:)
Oh yeah sorry but that project was scrapped years ago when the money disappeared in a brown paper bag in the Bjelke-Petersen era.
:hehe:

not as good as mullie's, this was slapped together in 5 minutes, but you get the general idea.

Pete - don't be so quick to write it off "not as good as..." is a poor qualification for a scene of that quality. Nice use of the grass, and it shows how well your buildings work in a scene like that. I'm looking forward to using the signal box especially!

Dan - You and Pete working on a 421 together? How often do the planets align like that?!? Fantastic stuff, it looks amazing. The louvre vans right behind the loco look interesting, a new texture for the NLKY?

Never underestimate the resourcefullness of a Queenslander! Best dig I've seen yet Marty. WELL DONE!:hehe: :hehe:

falcon, if you check a page or so back I asked where you got a certain stock wagon in a screenie you posted? Hoping you can tell me please.

pete, I think you've done a pretty good job, for what it's worth. Looks pretty much like Mulies. Some would probably disagree but its my opinion anyway. Just my .02c
Thanks
Glen

Hope you like them, i'll be adding another few boards tomorrow.

BTW, while i am here, if there are any Queenslanders around, i have a proposition. You can take the rain we have too much of, if we can have this years Origin trophy.

What do you think, fair trade?

Matt.

Hi guys,
Just thought I'd post a picture of today's doings in my version of Trainz.:)
Been running a fair bit on Axe's route...

National Rail runs bulk wheat trains from Mt Victoria to Tarin Rocks for the AWB. Today, C505, C508 and 8106 (8154 has been taken to Sandy Banks for repairs after an engine failure on a local train on Tuesday) drag a 10,000t wheat train across Owen's Bridge, destined for Tarin Rocks East Yard.

Thanks,

Just a short random collection of panorama's from Axe's Georgetown to Tarin Rocks route. I particularly like how the one with the reverse liveried DEB set behind the lavender turned out...

The 421 is looking good but somebody better get the fire brigade on standy by as the one thats in 3830's screen shots is about to suffer some type of major break down due to the over size train load its attempting to pull.

I think a traction motor fire is on the cards there chaps.:D :D

IIRC the 421 were down graded to a 1275HP rating like the 42's were in the later years.
