Australian screenshots

Gmax shot of 3D Grey Gum tree trunk and branches. As none of these trees are pay ware standards they probably won't be sent to DLS.

Have to congratulate everyone on the fine work that is being posted to this forum. I'm currently working on the Brisbane Valley line. I'm making it in sections, Section 1 - Coominya to Esk. Section 2 - Wulkaraka to Coominya. Section 3 - Esk to Yarraman. The pics are from Section 1.

Cheers,
Kent

Oh, yes please - myself and another talented creator tried out hands at the BVL (Brisbane Valley Line) using DEM, but my inexperience and his little time, we have unfortunately shelved the project - it was ambitous, I admit that - and showed much promise, but having extremely limited information available on the line (what does it look like, etc etc etc), and never having taken the opportunity to travel it before it was closed, it made things much more difficult.

I know the Brisbane Valley line is a daunting task. I've got a few mates who work for QR Heritage and have sourced a great deal of information for me. Including that 1502 class engines weren't permitted on the branch, which makes my screenshots incorrect. :hehe: I never had the pleasure to ride on a train on the branch either, but have rode my mountain bike from Wulkaraka to Toogoolawah. More shots soon.

I've been doodling these buildings as I dont have time to work on the locos and cars currently due to "she who must be obeyed" being quiet ill.
Someone has already done a PC1 station building, so here is the PC2 and also a PC signal box based on a photo I saw of one.

definitely NSWGR only, the entire walls and posts are of prefabricated concrete components for the box and the station buildings. The NSWGR were probably the first to use prefab concrete buildings in Australia back in the 1920's

Ghosty,
Where (or whose) are the little platforms the halt is constructed from? They'd be just the ticket for some projects I'm working on!
Cheers,

Ok time i shared a few shots. Just some freelance stuff.

4446 on a short freight runs through the wayside halt of Here.

Built under the BER (Building Effective Railways) scheme this station cost $1.5 million.

From a recent news report....

Concrete, Wood and Metal railway sleepers with Ballasted beds of stone are now a thing of the past say's a past time QR executive from the 1800's speaking from his grave. The effect of Queenslands new railway lines will be quad-drupelled more than a dozen times in industry profits over the coming months.

A petition was granted by the Majistrates of some heavily corrupt officials and cheif representitives of the State Transport Dept - leaked at a conference that they had a Contract in Partnership with the Premier of Queensland in an attempt of draining Bligh of her assets and leaving her and her organisation bankrupt in order to fulfill the current goal of completing the new "TRACK OF (BLIGH'S) TREASURE" or socalled "LINE OF GREAT LOOT".

The new track design for Queensland Railway's will consist of 999.99% Gold Bar sleepers and endless truck loads of Bligh's loose change to cover for rail bedding. It's believed the new rails will be of solid Platinum with the Premier's very own signature with encrusted silver spikes ....... yet to be installed.

May keep you upto date with more of the story as it slowly ............ and progressivly ............. unfolds.
