Pete - have you been to ARHS ACT? They have a full set of the end platform cars running behind their steamer usually when they do a weekend steam trip to Bungendore. Although the train is usually easy to chase, it's easier to get good photos by just enjoying the ride on the train, and all the volunteers at the ARHS are very friendly. If you're ever in the area, when they are running a steam excursion, I'd recommend going on it - your cars look awesome, looking forward to giving them a run along my branch line route.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there 6 HUB cars preserved in running condition? Three go out on RTM tours every trip.

I'm not really sure - I thought the HUB set cars had sealed windows

With thanks to Raichase

I'm glad someone found use of my photos - incidentally, if anyone needs photos of the power van in particular, I can try to get some next time LVR run a tour with it. I didn't take many photos that time as I was mostly focused on the locos, but I can take requests :).

Had a request on how i done the textures on the last photo i done hopefully this helps yah both. ( although these photos may look bad from the air lineside its alot better )

Anthony, you're a godsend - it looks very similar to my method, only you do things backwards, and it seems to work out quite well that way.

To stop anyone saying I'm all talk, I took this on my current project, and it doesn't look too bad, so I thought I would throw it into the ring as such. While not in the league of some of the veterans here (axe, I'm looking at you mate), I hope it provides some value :).

My bad Raichase. You are correct, the HUB/RUB sets were enclosed.

Pete, I really love watching your content come to life. Keep it coming!

Alco Power, being from the South Coast, I can really see were you are in those screenies, if you need a beta tester mate......:)

Thanks!

The mix of foliage in this shot is particularly pleasing. Well done!.
The other shots show some great thought & choice of foliage/texture too.
But thought I'd better just load up this reply with just one pic. :)

I agree - the scenery along that route is very well done! Having travelled along the route before, everything seems very true to life, except where specific scenery items are unavailable and have been replaced by what is available - and going by the quality of it, that's very excusable :).

hi mate

"where did you get the sunshine express download from?"

cant remember now.
will check when i get home tonight and let you know

SARRailways,

Normally, a DEB set was made up of 2 powercars (900) and either one or two trailers (800) depending on if its a 3 or 4 car set.

when I was about 12 I actually road on the camden tramway, we were coming down kenny hill toward campbelltown when the CCA we were in uncoupled from the rest of the train, we came to a gradual halt the rest of the train kept going some guy in a car on the road next to the track raced ahead and got the loco drivers attention and he reversed back to get us
