THANKS

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps now... After finding a matching cliff (thanks everyone) I might be able to use good tunnels, and possibly be inspired for a Victorian or NSW route... dunno yet, but you never know.

Thanks again,
Mitcheyyyy!!!

the last cityrail set

thought I would do a different livery for the K set that just about covers it except for the Tangara millenium and oscars, but someone is doing the tangara

The candy Liveried cars were called "Choppers" or something, No help but might ring a bell with someone :p
Sounds odd to me. I think the "Choppers" were actually the C-Sets which had some chopper control system built into them. The same control system which was then implemented into the Tangaras. I used to remember seeing the C-Sets in the candy colour scheme, but haven't seen a K-Set in it as I had never really seen them much until a few years back when they had already changed it to grey and yellow/orange. They did have it though by the looks of it from the image below.

[Edit: My bad, the above is actually a C-Set, but the K-Set looks basically the same as the C-Set prior to it having the fiberglass frontage]

As far as I can remember the K sets were never painted on the front prior to receiving the Cityrail orange front. The C sets were painted in this candy paint scheme though.

Cheers,

Matt :)

when it comes to cityrail or anything NSW rail, dont say it never happened, because it probably did:D. Thats the second photo I have seen now, they only had it for a very short period of time. Another bit of trivia, I didnt know till yesterday, that Phil Belbin was the person who designed the candy livery

action on the railway

earlier today i went out to take some screenies.

saw a C30 (thanks ad602000 :D) pulling some CCH hoppers,

while on a different line, a triple header consisting of 3237,5917(5909 in this case) and 3830 for a special tour.

while a local coalie is waiting for a signal to clear, the triple header departs

i walked around to see what the trailing loco was, 48145.

Well that is probably true,.. I have noticed though, that you have been modelling the refurbished K set with A/C (hence the single pane windows) and I would seriously doubt any of those ones had a Candy livery.

some great shots everyone, thought i had better share some more of mine.

On the subject of CityRail trains, where can I get those?
I only have the M set, S set, Endeavour Explorer set and 600/700 class set.
(All on the DLS)

haven't finished them yet, I will change the K to silver and yellow, didn't know that candy was so unpopular. I will look for victims, i mean beta testers closer to finishing. Is any one doing the millennium sets? I know someone was doing a tangara somewhere
