Very nice guys :D Hey Col, I might have to take some pics of my Mum and Dad's cars and send them off to you. They look brilliant mate! (Dad has Holden Commodore VY Berlina Wagon and Mum has a Toyota Corolla Sedan Ascent 2006 Model).

Tom :)

Thanks guys, got the coupler/bogey issues sorted with the NGHF's, will post screens as soon as bogeys are completed :) !

By the way I know its off forum topic but I was just wondering if you plan to use an asset of another content creator as a dependency of an item of content that you have created, do you have to get permission off that content creator to link to their content as an dependency?

Thanks, :)

Matt

Hey all, it's been a long time between visits. A few new faces poking their noses in since I last dropped by, great to see. :)

I've just spent the last few days challenging my route making abilities by attempting to design a single baseboard layout that can handle trains running alternate directions servicing 2 stations and 2 freight yards, as well as having a reasonable sized loco depot... and being able to run all trains CPU controlled without errors and traffic jams... while not making it look too cluttered.

So far the majority of my time has been spent running 30min hands-behind-the-back tests to make sure the AI are as intelligent as half of their name suggests.

Here's an early shot of playing with some ground textures and flora. (Please excuse the horrid road in the bottom left):

Now my question is; Is it at all possible to turn off traffic all together from all roads without going through each config file to edit it?

Toyota Hilux, dual cab, thanks to Vulcan for sending me some photos.:)

Reskins are actually quite difficult, just doesn't seem to be working. I'll just try making different versions I think.

They look great, I've been looking for some new traffic that have wheels thicker than toothpicks.

Maybe a suggestion: Rotate the wheel textures on cars with mags on front and back, and mirror the opposite side, I'm just imagining having a string of them parked together all with matching wheels, like Peter Perfect parked all of them himself.

Jamez: That looks like its going to be a awsome route. You got skill with detail.

On another note do you still have that SSR 44 you reskinned before you left :p I wanted it but i was to late and unless im blind i haven't found it :(

Colhad, well done mate, Great to see some good vehicle models that are'nt available on the DLS yet :D !

Keep up the great work! :)

Cheers,

Matt

Pic's look great guys! That loco on the front looks familiar Pete, very familiar... Oh that's why, it's my favourite loco! Good job, and the Sheep Wagons looks great :D

Tom :)

I've had multiple reformats and installations of TRS in between visits here, unfortunatly the SSR 44 was very low on my list of things to keep. But I can't imagine it would be hard to do again, especially with my new found photoshop'ing skills. I'll see what I can whip up for you when I get a spare half a day or so to do a decent job of it.

Zec, I don't know if comtrain visits here often, do you think he would mind if I attempted to repaint his VLINE Y in VR Blue?... Or is it something I should wait for?

Actually, the person to ask would be ad602000. The user ID 1854 is the VicTrainz group kuid (shows in CMP/CM2 as 'comtrain' instead of VicTrainz though).

You won't have much luck reskinning it to VR blue without the mesh though, as the textures are tiled over it, instead of being mapped out. I have a feeling there may be a VR blue one in the works though, by someone else. But sure though :)
Zec

Ok, thanks for that Zec, I just looked into the folder to see what could be done, and like you say, without the mesh it's next to impossible. However I did have a little play with the logos (I hope AD602000 doesn't mind). :D

I hope you're right about the VR model. I'm not really a fan of V/Line in general, I'd much prefer to have the VR. It's nice to have a mix of steam and diesel in a realistic scenario. :D

Mazda 3, once again thanks to Vulcan for supplying photos.

I did a lot of fiddling around in PSP7 to edit out a lot of dark areas. Particularly on the front.

More soon, I'll see what sort of colours I can produce with the Mazda 3.

A bit more adjusting and I get a more even shading in the texture.

G'Day Jamez,

I actually completed 4 different skins on all of Pete's T's and Y's (All still VR, just some are weathered or have the RE sticker). They are available to download at the VicTrainz forums...
