Gee, thanks for all your good wishes fella's.
Haven't been around much lately but nice to see the 22 class was well received. I would have liked to do a cab for it but due to eyesight problems
that doesn't seem likely now.:(

Anyway, thanks again.

Cheers
David

Good to hear from you again Davido! Hope you enjoy your birthday, although this talk of eyesight problems is a bit of a worry? Best of luck with it all, your eyesight is far more important than 3d modelling, I think everyone would agree with me on that count!

Good to see you back again :)

Happy birthday mate :)
Nice work on the 22, although I haven't had time to have a good look at it yet! (Dunno why I create for Trainz, just gets in the way of the enjoyment :o).

Sorry to hear about your eye sight problems :( Good luck there. Eye sight is such a pain when things go bad with it :(

Is that the view you get in the Sim, Zec? I know you said it was difficult to get the view right because of the way auran set it up. I think you might have the only steam loco out there where we can see the track ahead from the cab view? I hope so :D

Cheers

Actually, that isn't exactly the default view in TRS. The default view looks straight ahead, I turned my camera slightly to include a bit of the backhead. This view is setup as standing behind the drivers seat, for those who like to see most of the controls (reverser 'grab' point is hidden behind the driver's seat though :( ). The next 'camera' is in the driver's seat though :)

That is good news!
Because nearly every engine you drive in Trainz using the cab view does not allow you to see the track. How many times do you have to click #2 or heads out the window to see the track ahead. Flying Scotsman obviously had a real life problem with that tiny window in front, but most Australian engines had a decent view and we have no excuses for looking at the back of the boiler in cab view.

Well, I guess you won't like an S class cab then... The windows on them were very similar to those of the Scotsman (A little lower though, but still rather small IIRC). They were still fairly high, which I would think would limit the view of track closer to the locomotive (although at speed, this would be less of a problem, as you need to look a long way ahead anyway, whereas a driver in a K needs to be able to see up close as they did a lot of 'roadside' goods services, and shunting) :)

Looking great guys. Once I have my PC up & running I have a lot of 'Trainz' catching up to do.
Checking out your Hay Line will be high on the list.

For those who may be wondering what's happened to me lately, I'm putting up a post soon "What's Noel B. been up to?"

A very dirty K103 sits in the platform.

Please excuse the clean 'bogies' and tender... Haven't finished them yet :P

Seeing this, I think we defiantly need another 36 to get up to the quality of the K class, TF and 38 etc..:D
