More WIP! Junee.

I know this is not the place to post this, but I would like to know why an Australian company is charging US dollars to purchase Locos etc produced here in Oz. An item $20 odd dollars is suddenly near $60 to purchase. This is not helping you guys here in Oz producing the material. That is ridiculous......

Auran at the time "now called N3V Games" used the US dollar because it is internationally accepted as a currency used in many countries
it does force Australian's to be paying more based upon the US dollar value and it can be rather annoying, personally I do agree that N3V Games should consider switching to Australian dollars rather than US, we do pay way more than the US for DLCs

Fantastic stuff, Tim and Ryan.

The USD is more stable and a vast majority of their market are used to trading in USD. $20 becoming $60, can't say I've seen that. $20 becoming $30, sure.

If it were in AUD it would probably cost the same anyway...

I won't take any more time on here, but Jamie, I went to purchase Ryans C Class at $19.99 but the checkout price was around $58. Certainly not taking anything away from Ryans work, it's excellent and worth that if it was going to him given the time and effort, he and the guys at Hotbox put in. Yourself included. Just doesn't seem right somehow. Anyway, enough bitching, if I want it that's it.... My apologies for using this forum.

My apologies guys, just purchased the C Class and you were right Jamie, just above $30. No idea what happened the other day. Must have hit an incorrect button. Sorry about that.,.,...Looking forward to running Ryans C's.

I agree with the sentiments expressed above re the steam locos of Elstoko. I would also like to acknowledge the huge contribution to NSWGR modelling made by the collaborative efforts of ad602000 and NSWGR_46Class (aka Bearcat). In the early days of Trainz I was privileged to be a fellow member of the ACT Trainzer Group. AD602000 was also a frequent contributor under the VicTrainz banner. Sadly they no longer contribute to the forum or to Trainz content, due to burnout and disillusionment. If your looking for some piece of NSWGR rolling stock odds are they have produced it. Their work may not be up to recent more stringent expectations, but it still provides a lot of value.

I give you ... The Yass Tramway (with thanks to Ad602000 and Bearcat, and also to P.Gibbons). These are WIP shots from the DemondrilleNSW layout I am currently working on.

DemondrilleNSW (working title, subject to change).

Nearly finished the first pass of detailing Joppa Junction to Binalong - texture updates, speed trees and track side detailing. Signalling updates to move the new addition back in time to the sixties yet to come. Signalling is far from my field of expertise, but I will give it a go. There are a lot of signal blocks in the P.Gibbons route, and I do wonder if the were so many in the the 1960's.

Phil.
location of signals in the Main South sections are based on the NSW Curve & Gradient documentation with allowances made for use and operation of signals when running in Driver/AI mode. Generally the dual track sections of the Main South have a signal group at regular intivals (1-1.5K). The type of signal is not specified but I used the 5 or 6 aspect in most cases. New data in the latest DRKD diagrams are more specific as to signal types.

Not sure what it was historically, but the main south today is single colour light signals about 2.5-3km apart, (mostly 3ASP but some Distant/2asp homes around breadalbane/Goulburn and closer to Sydney) all the way from Junee to Enfield, via the SSFL.

South of Junee it’s mostly 2 aspect distant/home CTC signalling, with a few 3asps, mostly on more modern installations (Bomen/Culcairn North/Ettamogah). The only other 3ASP homes south of Junee is the outer homes at Wagga and The Rock, though I suspect there may have been one at Quinty on the down end before the passing lane was installed for the Kywong branch.

Love when hobbies and work correlate.
