Its 1982 and the final demise of branch lines in NSW. A new 48 class leads the final train to run on this line untill NSWRTM comes along

Just a quick question?
How far should a route be? Because the one im building is 16 squares long and has 3 stations. The reason im asking is because its set in forest so theres Millions of trees and heaps of grass( Im not joking just look at some of the pictures of it ) And it makes my computer slow so i don't wan't to do anymore. Also is it alright to end with a portal just after a station?
