Nice screenies everyone,

Some of you may have noticed or should I say.... pretty much no one has noticed I've been away from trainz for the past several months, it's because I've been working on a new computer.... the old computer I've been using for the past 7 years was a 32bit OS system, so I set out to finish building the new one over summer, unfortunately I got caught on a snag, I need a 850w PSU with multiple Serial ATA power connectors but none are in local shops I go to... they tell me a 550w is all I need, here comes the good bit though, since I removed the trainz drive and games drive out the old computer it became allot more stable so I've been doing little bits in 3DS during this time as well as playing the PlayStation 3 & 4 the day's flew past on me that I lost interest about putting time into the new computer :( , I'm going back there during the week if I can't get a 850w I'll go with the 550w and hope for the best.

So the reason why I'm here is this...

I'm asking for some help on finishing this as I'm too lazy to go to South Australia to get the research I need, what I'm asking for is some photos of the roof, frames and in between the bogies, and bolster which sits between the frame and bogies, if you can get engine room photos also, that'll be great or otherwise it'll be based of the drawings I have. As you guys can see it's very close externally to being finished. The model is at about 34k including some of the engine room meshes and bogies, I hope around 50-60k when done so you won't have to worry about it being *I got it to infinity+1 polys!*. (lol)

Cheers.

No need to go to SA they are identical to the NSWGR 442 class

After arriving with a full load of passengers from the evening peak, the crew of P11 get ready to depart Merriford with an empty cars push pull movement back into the city. Managed to climb on top of a stored VLCX van to capture this shot!

Been working on making some improvements to my Sydney route. The trouble is, everywhere I look, something needs to be done. So I'm selecting a few points, doing a little research and then make a few changes.

The Eveleigh Locomotive Workshops have always interested me. So I've linked a few items together to create the Australian Technology Park Locomotive Workshop. Three new buildings and a set of steps leading to the Booking Office for 3801 Limited. There's a crowd building up to get tickets for a heritage train tour.

The building to the left was the Eveleigh admin and pay office. To the rear is the National Innovation Centre and to the right is the large Erecting Workshop.

Every man and his dog are eager to get tickets for this special tour.

It's about 8:29am and the doors are about to open. I also employed a Russian security guard with a baton to keep the crowd under control.
All this can been seen just before Redfern Station if you are travelling from the western suburbs.
Cheers,
Roy

Looking really good there Roy. The amount of times I've dragged my tired feet past that old Single Decker down to the yard to find and prep my train... haha

Thanks mate. I thought someone might recognize it or have memories from that neck of the woods.

Hi Dave,

Not quite, the 700 has staff exchange behind the fireman rather than behind the driver, the Austrains 700 roof is slightly different to the 442 with the engine doors however as I can't find a 700 roof shot on the internet I am not sure which is 100%, the Austrains or the 442 roof photos, the render you see I built as a 442 at first then altered it to a 700.

You can see with the Austrains one of the engine doors is slightly shorter.

Cheers.

Hi guys,

For anyone interested in a little bit of Sydney trains history, I picked this up from a facebook thread I subscribe to.

It's a poster advertising the opening of the North Sydney Line on 29th April 1893 (125 years ago). The train was leaving from the first Milsons Point Station (at the back of Luna Park) at Lavender Bay and heading north to Hornsby; upon which it would return back to Milsons Point. Price of a ticket 10/- (10 shillings or $1) for 4 people.

Shots removed

G'day mate. What bridge is that in your second screenshot? Looks perfect for a nice long bridge on the Ballarat line.

Also, 3D or Speedtrees would look a lot better than those old billboard trees if your computer can handle them :) the replace asset tool makes the process pretty easy

Also, Steve, you'll have to be more specific than that mate. KUIDs will help

Anybody know why flatcars will not load at fruit and vegetable industries ???? it is doing my head in trying to work this out,,,

Either the fruit has gone off or the 'Greenies' have stepped in and placed a ban on the export of vegetables. lol

I know your serious mate, but as Jamie said what particular industry and what flatcars ?

Cheers,
Roy
