I'd send you some, but nearly all of them stand out stark white or nearly so. The dark ones are nearly black. HOGs just don't work well in T:ANE

Well, I guess I will make routes, but not the illawara line. My version is less detailed and is a tiny bit out of scale.

i think I’ll just use taggy’s one when it gets released.

i noticed on some photos people have managed to get and image of google maps and some how pasted it into there route so they know exactly where roads and tracks go.

if some one could give me a lecture on how to do this that would be great.

I don't have time myself to give lectures, I'm just so busy.

But, a word of advice, mate. Before you make up your mind on what you feel you want to do;... it would be wise to gather as much knowledge about Trainz as you can.

Start by watching all the video tutorials and take written notes. https://www.twitch.tv/trainz_simulator There are 37 videos so far and no doubt more will be created. (I looked at one today and learnt something)

If you are looking to create layouts from maps 1. Try Basemapz, it's free with Trainz or 2. TRANSDEM It has a cost, but read about it first,.. https://forums.auran.com/trainz/sho...-Google-Earth-amp-TransDEM-for-route-creation

Willem2's basemaps on the DLS have tutorials in the config's description.

Google earth ruler, make a square 720m x 720m, crop it in an image editing program, then save it as the name of the image file in the asset (I think it's basemap1.tga) or something

Pretty sure it is without looking Eric but if you download Hewi12's only layout on the DLS you will find it and sum other great stuff also mate, Australian Overgrown Model is the layout.

Just a little bit off the coast, it's Kauai2008 for TANE, but Queensland stuff fits in well.
I think Scratchy's shot is from H222's Geelong line. I'm becoming very familiar with it.

Thanks for your reply. Link is OK, bit I was hoping to post actual image as hosted in Trainz Gallery, as I used to be able to do with Imageshack. I have been away, and forgotten a lot. Trainz Gallery has been introduced in that time.
