Nice screenshots Steve - Your detailing looks great.

I've started short-run testing in cab-view on my Sydney route, which is also a good opportunity to take a few screenshots.
I use these shots to highlight anything I may have overlooked or missed.

EDIT: The HF1 upgrade appears to be giving me much better definition than previously.

Roy, absolutely stunning work. Having spent many times in the sidings at Lavender bay when based at Central, I can tell you that is so near life like its a bit scary.

Hey all,

Some more Steel Slab wagons I'm working on, this class where allocated to Broad Gauge due all the VKEX and VKOX going to Standard Gauge from mid 1995 as RKEX and RKUX, the ROJX where recoded from ROBX in mid 1995 and numbers I know of are 1, 13, 15, 23, 33, 36, 56, 73, 93 and 98, numbers 1, 15, 23, 33 and 36 are of a Corrugated body, numbers 13 and 56 are the smooth sided body while numbers 73, 93 and 98 are the Heavy Duty smooth sided body.

Thanks for the compliment mate!

But I should put the record straight for you. Just because I enjoyed my time in Paris some years ago, doesn't make my layout French.

It's just plain and simple, straight-forward, dinky-di Aussie,... "Sydney" - the place where I was born.

Looking fine Roy, yes the latest upgrade seems to have much greater defined detailing. Might reload Blue Mountains Route and see if it can be improved on. My Brighton [BRSR] project is gaining ground and have overcome third rail problems, although it's time consuming.

Thanks mate for your tips. I appreciate it.

I've purposely kept everything bright, particularly as I'm still making small changes to the route overall. Once I'm happy with the route, I'll adjust the environment back to where I'd like it; then start creating the sessions to go with it. If I get stuck I'll put my hand up.

I'm real happy with the definition that HF1 is producing, but it's making me look much closer at every part of the route, in case I've missed or messed something.

Using SP2 I had tried over a dozen different textures to get a 'wet look' to the rocky shoreline around the harbour. Then I changed it again with HF1.

Another asset I changed was the track I had planned on using for the SHB. It looked fine in SP2, but in HF1 it would only render 20 feet of track at a time in cab view - not good enough. So that has been changed also. Changing the bridge track meant re-setting the catenary for that section too.

Good luck with your Brighton project and your third rail.

Thanks Steve, You are on the list.

By the way, after the HF1 upgrade and a couple of runs in cab view across the SHB, I wasn't happy with the way the track 'appeared' and 'dis-appeared' every 20 metres.

So I opted to change the track 'Subkit EL (M) H' which was only across the bridge to 'Track ll - Bridge Track'. It may not be the best in the world, but the rendering problem has gone.

G'day everyone, A lot of very impressive shots since I last posted, keep em coming.
Roy, put me on your distribution list. Your route is looking terrific.
I've been finding it difficult lately to get much time on Trainz but still doing a bit where i can. Downloaded the awesome Fingal line, very impressive Pware.
