I dont even know who they are.

On the subject of that, I'm yet to actually ever meet your acquaintance. I don't ever recall dealing with you Simon/Christopher, and if I've offended you when I was younger, I apologize, and suggest you get on with it.

Considering most in here know who/what I am, I wouldn't even bother playing innocent when I wasn't. No one would ever mistake me for someone holier than thou. As for Mick... well, not everyone is compatible with everyone else. Since the laundry has again been aired, I was given the choice of shutting down that website or paying triple figures for it. And with you? I don't even know your beef skippy, so I'd suggesting PMing me your issues, or shutting up and let these forums exist in relative happiness.

Speaking of... Nice route oldguy. Nice scenery on a very busy layout. Gives me plenty of ideas for a future Model Railway in HO...

Beautiful screenshot David. Nicely textured. Keep it up mate !

Cheers,
Roy

Thanks Roy!
Tom has done a good job so far reworking the X's.
I did a bit of texturing on the X to look a bit like how it was in 2009!

The route is a short 5 baseboards at the moment with potential to extend. Just wanted something to display shots on and run for short periods of time.

Cheers
David

Pondering which way to go...
Whilst building the current Blue Mountains Route v2 in T:ANE SP2 build 88364 and exporting it as a cdp file over to T:ANE SP2 release assertions 90073 [ I have both on the pc] wonder if I should continue the build in the latter of the two. Must admit the overall appearance, when compared, leaves the former [build 88364] much to be desired. Especially in texturing. However as the release assertions are, I think, more of beta than anything else should I do this?

Maybe I can get some feedback before going to far.
Thanks
Val.

Hi Val,

From past experience in Trainz, I've found every upgrade that is released, the overall 'look' improves.

I had previously built a few routes in TS2100 & TS12, which I'd imported to the first version of TANE. However in doing so, I found a few textures that I'd used, just didn't appear the way I'd prefer. So it was a simple matter to do a bulk asset transfer, which fixed it.

I then created a cdp file of each route, in case I wanted to import them into later versions.

I believe with any future upgrades, and uploading these files, I may need to change a few textures again.

I'm still using TANE SP2 at present, but before I actually do any upgrades, I'll make another cdp file of any route I want to take into the latest version.

This allows me a choice whether I do upload it or not. If there are bugs in the upgrade, I'll hold off, but the important thing is I've maintained a good file to use whenever I like.

Cheers,
Roy

Thanks Roy, After losing quite a bit of the route during 'ancient times' have learned to make a regular .cdp file backup. Sometimes we learn the hard way huh. So I now do as you have suggested. Perhaps it is wise to continue using build 88364 until the developers make the upgrade official and not just 'assertions'.

Val.

New Route

Hey Everyone, Great Shots by everyone. There is too many good shots and I cant keep up. Keep it ip guys. Roy, whenever I go back to the forum your route just Looks better and better as you expand on it, Keep it up.
I have decided to make a route with Douglas Park to CampbellTown. I am creating Maldon Cement and Limestone yard/quarry. So here we have some screenshots with some locos idling waiting for its train to load up.

Here we have 8135 Idling at Maldon Quarry Ready to go on a Cement train to Berrima. Run Number - 3926

Here we Have 8138 ready to pair up on a cement train with 8135. We also have Nr 31 and its waiting for its limestone wagons to be loaded.
The other loco that it will pair up with is shunting the limestone wagons and getting them filled up. The number of that Nr is Nr 17. - Run Number - 4033

Great shots Tom, building the Wangaratta area was the first really satisfying moment on the route as it really stretched my route building abilities.

I think every one of us has come a long way in our route-building over the past couple of years, from just forming a circle of track to in-depth landscapes.

But it takes a good group of people with a lot of patience and sometimes a sense of humour, to push each other to greater heights, as well as, respecting each other for their individual abilities and skills.

I'm sure as a whole, we Aussies, have that among us.

I want to give a wrap to our oldguy, who has spent a considerable amount of his time putting a great layout together. Here are a few more shots.

No,... this isn't a 'ghost' ship. But I've often wondered what the 'RMS Titanic' would have looked like steaming into Sydney Harbour.

I took it for a test run, but I won't be using it in my route. I was looking for a nice modern cruise ship instead.

Evening Everyone,

I am proud to release my QR Sign Pack, these are all been compressed into a .zip file for you're convenience. All that needs to be done is just extract the files and, import them into Content Manager. Yes, they are re-nameable.

Hi Lachlan,

I started to download your QR Signs into TANE and they all came up as being 'faulty'.

Then I realised that they were created in TS2010 and would not be compatible with later versions. I had to delete them.

I then downloaded into TS12 and they still came up as being faulty.

Warning: The texture 'pole.jpg' is a uniform color.
Error: The tag 'image' in '0' points to a nonexistent file: '..\..\screenshots\lachlanstrains_20171005_0010.jpg'.

It may be wise in the future, to highlight what version of Trainz your assets have been built with. Otherwise, you will get dozens of people asking you to fix them.

Cheers mate,

Roy
