Australian screenshots

I've filled Sydney Harbour with water, adjusted the level, salvaged a few sailing boats from the bottom and now it's time to take a few screenshots.

If I've overdone the scenery, someone will let me know. This section of my Sydney layout is nearly there and the testing will begin.
This one is from Goat Island, a place I visited some months ago.

Absolutely awesome work, Roy! Never seen Sydney look so good.
cheers

Thanks Graeme, I appreciate your support.

I've now started testing the some of the ferry routes and so far, so good.

Once that's done, I'll prepare it for a merge to my City Central route. I just hope SP2 is up to the task. (I'd better keep a few copies, just in case)

Cheers mate,
Roy

Very nicely done Roy....take a bow....I too have fiddled with the environment and never sure if I should make the water more/less blue. All subjective I guess.
Val.

Thanks Val for the support. The water should be greener, but that cuts out a lot of reflection. (See image below)

I've scuba-dived all around Sydney and in fact, Sydney Harbour water is quite dense with only about 2 metres visibility in any direction.

I guess I'm making it look better than what it really is.

Cheers,
Roy

Good Evening,

It's been a good few weeks since I've posted. Here is a WIP of my Eagle Farm Railway Station that I'm working on for my Pinkenba Branch.

Hi Roy, loved the video tour. With the water, turn the dials all the way to black, then add a smidgeon of green and a poufteenth (or the same amount) of blue and it should be spot on for Sydney water. I just tried it with various base textures and got some interesting effects in the shallower parts. Also have found that the darker the water the better for reflections.
cheers,
Graeme

That looks good in Mesh Viewer Lachlan, but perhaps you need a higher or lower resolution map to bring out the brick textures?

How do I fix this error?

Hey Everyone, Great Shots. I was on a Southern Highlands/Illawarra route and I dont know why this error occurs but it says I don't have enough space. I deleted about 20 of my routes and it still says the same error. Does anyone know how to fix this because if you do know please help me and tell me how because I love this route. The error screenshot is below.

Hi Campbell, I know how you feel on this one. It's not your other routes, so don't delete them.

A couple of things to think about mate.

Always check to see what version of Trainz you are downloading and what type of computer you are installing it to. But mainly think about the limitations of the program and the size of the route before making any serious changes to it.

The NSW Illawarra & Southern Highlands route by tracksupervisor is a wonderful layout. It was built in TS2009 SP4 / TS2010 and it covers a huge area made up with hundreds of baseboards. I myself had downloaded it and I installed it on TS12. However the route had reached its limitation for TS12 (16GB RAM was not sufficient to hold the cache) it would freeze and I was unable to save any small changes to it.

The only way, would be to upload it into TANE.

From Content Manager create a cdp file of the route then once uploaded, remove any unknown or obsolete assets that you find.

If you have a computer that will run TANE smoothly, then you will enjoy what tracksupervisor has created.

Cheers,
Roy
