I just got back from 3 weeks away on holidays and I'm really impressed Graeme with your videos. I'd been using fraps but it's not as smooth as what you are using.

What version of Windows do you have? ...... and is the 'movie-maker' you are using built in or separate software?

Cheers mate,
Roy

Hi Roy, I hope you enjoyed your holiday and went somewhere to be envious of.
I am currently using Windows 10 Creators update and I highly recommend it purely for game mode and the extra fps I'm getting. Another part of the update is an improved Windows Game Recorder, which is what I have used to record the movies. Win+g to activate, adjust settings and make T:ANE start in Game Mode. To record its Win+Alt+r. and don't forget to hit F5 to remove your HUD. I have been using NCH Video Pad for editing, but I don't recommend it as I have found Lightworks to be far superior, totally free and without constantly trying to install other parts of the NCH Suite and time lapse feature crippling as Video Pad does. You can do a manual update to Creators Update as well, which will protect you from the Wannacry ransomware.
cheers

Thanks for the feedback Graeme, I'll check it out.

We did have a great time, hitting all the historical places throughout NSW. We covered everything that had an impact on the building of our great country.

In particular, if you ever get the chance to spend some time at the old Tenterfield Station, do so - It's now a wonderful railway museum. The station is still intact, carefully looked after by a bunch of ex-railway volunteers; and the workshops which were used in the past, have been restored. Stacks of rolling-stock to whet any rail-enthusiast's taste are also on display.
Here are a couple of photos,...

Also on our way down the New England Highway, just east of Maitland I happened to wind the window down and caught PacNat 9202, 9319 and a dirty 92 class (number was unreadable) leading a coal train towards Newcastle. Made my day!

Scratchy, some amazing screenshots you have got there. May I enquire about the abandoned house next to the X41 in your post #3210 photo 3

Thank you in advance.

At the 2015 NSW model Trains Expo at Liverpool there were passenger trains advertised to be available in 1 quarter 2016 ,, and to pre order so you didn't miss out ,, Now here we are in the second quarter of 2017 and still no passenger cars, now this company continued to advertise in a model railway magazine that the model in question was expected in 2 months, then that 2 months would pass so then they would re advertise for it to be expected within the next 2 month and so on and so on.
Then only to be told by an employee face to face of this company that they had been pushed back for other stock more important..
It takes no more than 2 to 3 weeks to have something shipped from China to Australia via ships and if you own a company in Australia you know damn well when your product has shipped or not so telling people a repetitive 2 months is just a joke and a disrespect to the people who are supporting your company.

If you were to have pre paid for these passenger cars then this company doesn't give a rats ar_e for you even if your orders with this company are over $2500 because other things are more important.
If companies continue this practice be warned because they can be sued for creating hardship as that money could have been used for other expenses of life.

There was a computer company in Sydney that was shut down for doing this very same type of advertisement and it caused hardship to individuals while making money from false advertising

I would just like to warn all do not prepay for any model train, regardless of the name of the company

I've started to do some work on Version 4 of my Sydney Central route with the intention, to include the underground stations at Redfern and Central, then refurbish the North Shore.
In addition, I'd like to set up several sessions with DVA station announcements.

First effort on the curved Redfern platforms 11 & 12.

Hi Steve,

Not all Model Railway companies are like that, look at Auscision Models for example, they announce and take pre-orders when their samples are in the works and a few years later when it's finished they ship them out, I doubt they have ever failed an order, they do sometimes get delayed but never cancelled.

Cheers.

Hi Azervich,

Well i did not want to name any company, and i didn't say they cancelled the order, i am just saying that it is wrong for any company to take money from people who trust them to do the right thing, and for them to keep repeating that it will be there every 2 month after the delivery date has passed, knowing full well that it has not even been shipped yet.. while still asking people to pre order and pay for that item that is disgraceful. and the passenger cars are the V.set to which are from the company you have stated Azervich.

People invest money in good faith and get fed bull**** in return and you are expected to just not complain but get told that other models are more important ,, if this is the case they should never had taken anybody's money
As stated they know in advance when there product has been shipped so why the allegedly borderline false advertising.
I myself deal with companies in China so let's cut the crap,, Yes i should have known better.
Maybe these companies should show shipping statements before they are allowed to advertise pre payment order forms to protect the consumer. If these companies need money to further invest in more model production then go to a bank and get it, don't suck the money out of the general public with faulty promises or non productive time frames.

All you have to do is look back at a few Train magazines to see that this is not the only company that runs there operation in this very same manner Expected dates turn into months then years later,
Also these companies will understand if Fair trading wer'e to make them pay back all in completed orders that are not even shipped and all losses of cost on monies paid to them also with pending closure for allegedly breaking fair trading laws

I will never pre pay for any model train from these people again.
Regards steve
