James,

It's now your route to do with what you please, except to upload it to the DLS.

You may find another asset that works better for you, so make any changes that you like. I tinker with other peoples' routes, adding scenery or upgrading station names in English, so that I can understand them better. But it's all for personal use only.

Cheers,
Roy

G'day all...

Guess the axlebox;

Cheers,

Nick

Hi Nick;

Very good to see another familiar face around still. Presuming your image; it would be the Axlebox to a BB18/DD17 as C17, B18 and D17 were fitted with the earlier Timken bearings.

Post very soon on Central Division.

A DD1 class passing over Victorian Railway's tallest embankment on the Outtrim line.

Stefan you're much better off using real embankments and texturing it to suit, like here, in Zec's own attempt of the same embankment :p

I thought you would of given the VFWY a bit of weathering by now, lol

Also, I've got more research on the deck of it.

Cheers.

Hi James,
There is a simple fix for that one. As it's the only missing asset, go into surveyor and delete missing assets, which should then leave you with an editable grid texture where it is missing. You then use the asset replace tool to replace the grid texture with the ballast of your choice.
cheers,
Graeme.

Hi James,
There is another way to get <kuid:389987:100778> TSM Ballast 13.

I had used it many times before in TS12 and fortunately, it has build number 3.1.

If you go to Content Manger in TS12 and save it to a cdp file;... then import it into T:ANE.

Just remember, it's for personal use only and do not upload a route containing it to the DLS, because not everyone would have it.

Cheers.

Hi guys is there any VL's or Comengs in the new metro livery out there? I've been looking at the DLS but there's only one guy who made a comeng in a different liverey.

Nice work Graeme! Lovely to see a reproduction of the classic view of a 36 and S class at Albury! :)

The bogie detail looks nice, just a thought.. rather than have the writing in 3d format which adds to poly's map the bogie to a 2048x2048 and use the photo shop blending tools, if you still want to have the 3d wrting then it'll be better to have the next LOD close, probably a value of 0.56 to 0.48.

Cheers.

Trainz89; Correct!

The model is being made / used for articulation tests & Compatability Trials of components for a 5" Gauge QR 1620, amongst other things...
When the model is done, and the tests and trials complete, I intend to 3D print the Bogey Mainframe in wax, and use it to do lost wax castings.
From there I'll do a final machine of the Bogey Frames & Complete Deburr. Bogeys practically done!

I have no intention of putting this model into Trainz, I just thought a few people might enjoy seeing a bit of the progress...

But hey, if anyone wants to put it into Trainz, all they have to do is ask for the file! :cool:

Cheers,
Nick
