Zec,

I had started several years ago on this, basing on early-mid 50's however my computer crashed and I only have the textures and formations; all objects are gone. I had it fairly advanced as well and was making it as accurate as possible. Happy to look at working with you on it if you are keen.... PM me if interested.

Hi Zec

If you are to do the project ,Violet Town To Albury and the Cudgewa Bch, making the baseboard height so it joins to Peter Gibbons Henty to Albury Layout, would be even better.
Thanks

Hi Robert 2004,

If I recall correctly, Zec is going of a DEM (Digitally Elevated Map) to make the line from Violet Town to Albury. As a result, if pgibbons's map wasn't of the correct height, they won't be able to line up.

Hi Mark, thank you for the offer! :) At the moment, I'm still working out the scenery styling/palette, which is a bit of a slow process for me :) The 1920s-40s period (but could be used with early diesel; just there will be some of the later changes lacking :) ) is proving another interesting challenge, as quite a few objects will need to be custom built eventually :)

Unfortunately, as it's a DEM route, it's difficult to guarantee heights will match. I've had issues previously with two DEM maps (actually the 'V2' extension for Healesville that went from Tarrawarra to Lilydale!) not matching up. Would be nice for it to work, but I'm not sure it will. If it's a relatively small difference, a 'joiner' section could possibly be made.

The heights don't match up, there is a 10 to 30 metre difference in the two DEM files at the join, less if only two baseboards across. I have made a joiner section and finished up with a trimmed DEM of Cootamundra to Violet Town weighing in at 135mb with track laid from Albury to Wodonga (thanks Jamie). I just checked the Pgibbons route and its about the same, but the track wont line up either if the route is left intact.
cheers,
Graeme.

I have the same problem with Winchelsea...

after the curve out of the station it's meant to be straight, but as you see after the join there's another slight curve.

Cheers.

G'day all,
Just a few from playing with post processing, as long as you only use sharpen in the convolution settings you can get a good shot without the funky effects.

Actually, I'm not sure where I put it! :s

I'll send you a message shortly, as I kinda need to do a bit of updating to the liveries on these at some point (a really nice, official, description of Canadian Red has come to light that has resulted in me making quite a few changes to my stuff :o ).

Zec
