Hi All, Great pic Baz, that route is looking better every time I see it. A few from me after a huge building session.

I'm liking the Victrainz sky, but am still experimenting with that. Hopefully I will be able to find a moon that I like soon, for extra illumination at night. Then I just need to learn how to position the darn thing....
Cheers

Hi Rastis, great screenshot, good looking scenery..... one thing bothers me though, the pedestrian overpass is facing the wrong way. Apart from that, it's looking great.
Cheers,
Graeme

Thanks Graeme. Like wise mate, very impressed with what you've done. Looking great. You can certainly see the difference in the graphics in TANE compared to TS12, I just can't get that clarity even with the settings up high.

Awesome shot Rastis. You sure that's not a touched up photo??? LOL. Very nice work mate.

Cheers, Baz.

Thanks for the kind words Baz, for clarity try turning your fog settings down or off. I think it detracts from some screenshots and is really only there to hide low draw distances. In TANE, because it is so graphics card intensive, it's just more load that the graphics card has to deal with so I keep it turned off. TS12 being more dependent on the CPU, turning it off should give better overall performance. I'm only using a low/mid range laptop with a 4th gen Core i5 and low end dedicated graphics (nVidia 820m) and 4gb ram which will be upgraded soon to 12gb. Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Graeme

Nice one Graeme, thanks for the tips and the encouragement mate. I'll give it a go and see what happens.
Cheers Baz.

I'm looking forward to the day i get Jolimont finished. I feel like I need a finished model of Flinders St Station as a focal point to keep it as accurate as possible

Just a few more.

With the last screenshot, can anyone give me a heads up on how this layout should be set up? I'm obviously not setting the signal up correctly as I'm getting Path Not Set

G'day rastis,

This may seem like a stab in the dark, but what if you removed the Koonawarra Yard East 1 entry from the Diverge Speed limits section? I don't know how those signals work properly, so I might be wrong

That cutting looks familiar. Saw a photo of it (pretty sure it's that one, or one suspiciously like it) of a steamer on a regular goods during a talk (with photos on show) by Ted Payne at the Victorian Model Railway Society meeting last week! :)

Ah yeah maybe, its called Windmill Hill cutting and is the "deepest on the standard gauge railway and one of the deepest in Australia" so pretty significant. Its a cool place to watch the trains and always emtpy :)

Yep, that's the one! Was a very similar shot, but with a somewhat longer lens (Ted Payne had a wonderful home made telephoto lens at one point!), and a somewhat shorter train IIRC.

BTW, I'm lead to believe he has a book focused on the NSWGR coming soon (some of the shots will be incredible; much like his Victorian ones - many up light poles, trees, telegraph poles, grain silos, and anything else he could climb!).

Regards
Zec
