On that topic though, 268's experimental Westrail livery also had a precursor where the dark blue was mostly substituted for white on the main hood and nose of the locomotive - needless to say the bureaucrats at East Perth Terminal quickly realized that it would be an absolute nightmare to keep clean so 268 was never known to have actually hit the track in it (I've only ever seen a single photograph of it in an old issue of Motive Power magazine in this particular livery variation (all white with dark blue, black and orange bands), and the magazine noted that was only believed to have carried it for less than three months, before the white was substituted for the dark blue.

This is the scheme you are referring to Enkidoh. Photos are rare as hen's teeth.

I remember reading somewhere that it was vetoed by the union because the white paint reflected the sun too much at dawn/dusk when long hood leading. I can't imagine it would have been anymore difficult to keep clean than the original scheme the L Class carried in the 1960s.

Hi Mick, Thanks for the doing the hard yakka on those new buildings, not rubbish at all so don't sell yourself short. I'm certain there is a spot close to the tracks in and around Shepparton for them.

I am pretty popular I will admit.

Pretty rare to see 3 non-Metro trains crossing at Caulfield. Here a Dn Bairnsdale Pass is seen at Caulfield, while G-X31 passes through with the Up Maryvale Paper Train, and an XR is seen with presumably another XR on its way to the Port of Hastings.

Hey all

Does anyone know if there is a NSW Concrete/Wooden sleeper procedural track available? I've been using Protrack NSWGR track which is great for older routes but not so great for modern routes.

Mick, not rubbish at all mate. There is always a need for this sort of stuff to make the routes more lifelike. I'm nearly at Coniston in the great rebuild which is when that station building will come back into play!
