Great work there Dave!

I was just thinking that we needed some Motorail wagons, now we can properly recreate the Intercapital Daylight and North Coast Motorail! :D

Also the water gins look great, perfect for a few heritage steam runs!

Cheers,

Matt

Thanks but I am only half the team - Peter does the great 3D meshes

Surprised with how that old B Class model looks in TANE. Has it been de-speculared with PEV tools?

And of course, the X, Y and T look superb too!

D1 582 leads the afternoon goods through Barfold whilst K103 waits in the platform for the next section to clear.

There is still plenty of "blue sky" around the edges of the cloud cover, and it is late afternoon, so the sun may still be shining brightly enough low in the sky to cast the solid shadows.

It's about 1400h there, so the sun is still quite high (it just happened to be the sky I used all those years ago on the route, it's definitely a 'golden hour' sky though lol). But the shadows are entirely my fault...

The shadow intensity is based on the ratio of sun colour to ambient colour (the brighter the colour of either, the more light there is). If you have a bright sun colour and a duller ambient colour, you get harsher shadows. More ambient colour and less sun colour will give you much lighter shadows. In TANE SP1 the environment colours can be adjusted per session (and the sky texture can be swapped per session as well!), allowing one session to be a bright sunny day with deep shadows, and another to be an overcast day with lighter shadows. Since the environment colours are time based (you can adjust them at various times of the day), you can also have the session setup to go from bright sunny with a bit of cloud to thunderstorm part way through, and have the lighting change to suit :)

What's left to do with the X/T's? They are looking good

Thanks David, not a whole let left really, mainly LOD's and just tidying up the configs. I need to get in contact with Matt again about releasing the X's, the T's should be available soon :)

Just some weathering and new bogies, thats all mate. I should look into de-specularing it though!
