Australian screenshots

Hi all

I'm just asking if anybody could tell me how to made custom buildings, I was planning to make a Cityrail type station.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, download 3DS Max, undertake some tutorials and then when you are ready; go out in the field with a camera, a notebook for measurements, a pen and tape measure.

Make sure you do inform the person on duty at the chosen station as with these days with terror levels and suspicion. You do without permission, you may alert the law but as long as you explain in writing that you are modelling the building for 3D design and then all is well.

All the best.

Ok thank you for your advice

Hi Steve, where did you get the model of Central Station? Is this your own route?

Cheers,

I built Sydney Central about 2 years ago, but i have just made some changes to it.
It was built in Sketchup so it will be hi poly. If you want it just let me know and ill set up a down load link.
Yes it is my own route.

Thanks Steve, I would appreciate that please.
I spent most of my working life commuting Sydney's CityRail system - mainly the Illawarra and North Shore lines, so,... after I saw memeboy's C, K and S Sets, I got the urge to start a Sydney route myself.

A 'link' would be greatly appreciated, mate.
Cheers,

Also I'll be doing a live stream on boxing day which will be mostly on TS10, if anyone has a route they would like me do showcase I will be happy to do that

That's great work Steve, you've done a good job including 'Red Rattlers' as well.

If you like you could PM me with any links.
Cheers,

Wow I've been waiting for one of these for a while, since I'm doing the Sydney Light Rail & Monorail.

Btw there's a Sydney Variotram on my website if you want something to run along Central ;)

Here is the link to N.S.W Central Station

If you need any changes made just let me know Roy

Thanks Steve, I've just downloaded it and it looks fine. I'll have to get to work on my route now.
I did have a go at the City Circle back in TS2010 but I had a lot of problems with getting the right height for the catenary in tunnels and there wasn't much around in underground stations at the time, so I shelved it. Nowadays, there are much more to choose from,... US Metro, U-Bahn, Moscow Metro, etc,... and they have good signalling systems to go with it. They are a bit of fun to play with.
If you've got any tips I'd appreciate it.
Cheers,

As i said to Roy, if you need any changes made just let me know Memeboy. Have fun and remember it was built in Sketchup so hi poly count.

Best tip i can give is to position Central station and put all your platforms in place including track work and then move Central Station away from all the platforms and place all your seating rubbish bins signage computers screens and so on then move Central back into place when all that is done,
i also have all the Eddy ave under passes as well and the Elizabeth St central entry. Have fun all

That's a good tip. I wouldn't mind getting those 'extras' (Eddy Ave & Elizabeth St) whenever you have time.

I drove for 'Yellow Cabs' way back in the 1970s and I do remember sitting on the 'Country Trains' cab-rank many times, waiting for the trains to arrive. The smart cabbies would carry a country timetable with them so that they could get to Central at the right time as well as, take their pick of the best passengers (those who tipped well). I didn't see too many of those by the way.
Thanks again, Roy3b3

I'm going to Seven Hills Auscision Models and then to Blacktown MRRC Shop today Roy, i'll be a little short on time so i will give you a link Sunday to download the other assets.
