There were several WA themed routes on the DLS that were really old and basic made for Trainz 1.3, like 'Perth2Midland' by nuggles38, and a rough version of the Kalamunda Zig-Zag, so the chances of them working with modern versions of Trainz aren't good. A better option is to make your own route - it doesn't necessarily have to be 100% prototypical, but as long as it 'feels' like WA, then that's the main thing. :)

Incidentally I've been working on a Transperth/Perth suburban route set back in the early 90s which is nowhere near a stage of completion, but it is getting there.

oh ok thankyou I swear I saw someone that had a route with part of Toodyay on a post ages ago that's all

And isnt the ferris wheel in the wrong place Jamie, I drive over the Bolte a fair bit and cant work out how you have placed the workshop compared to where the ferris wheel is.
Mick.

It looks like its looking east from the Footscray side of the shed.

Yeah i'm with you now Cook that must be the Bolte that goes between the workshop and ferris wheel then. It's handy that Jamie only place's his building's one or two a year then we can all keep up with where what is :hehe:.
Mick.

Alot of Trackwork, looking good!

I see new container wagons??

Cheers
David

Lots of trackwork, this is only about a quarter of it David

Mock-up SQEFs made out of Davesnow trash container wagons

And yes Mick, Southern Star is in the right place. Bolte is between Dynon and the Wheel. I think there's about 6 buildings on the layout now. Wowee. Progress!

Not much from me today but a couple of progress pic's.
This is the start of the large yard at Gladstone

And below we can see it a bit further up the yard towards the actual town with the UTM Tile's unhidden, You can just see the orange roof's of the loco's poking thru the tile's and just to the bottom of the pic is the Loco service area i think in that kind of triangle.

Any kind soul's from up that way if you have any pic's of the Cat System and are able to part with them please PM me i need to make a ton of them.
Cheers Mick.
I like what you a doing, I am too far north for the Cat System, Maybe get on to Falcon 500,I think he is at Rockhampton, Maybe he can help with photos

Cheers,
Patchy

Cheers Patchy i think Falcon is more interested in spelling mistake's mate. Was actually thinking of trying to merge this Gladstone with your Mt Isa and Electrify to whole lot LOL.
Cheers Mick.

The storage shed of the Sydney Tram Museum went up in flames last night - from their Facebook account

Unfortunately we have to report, that tonight our old site in the Royal National Park has caught alight.
We don't know the full extent of the damage or cause at this early stage. But when full investigations have been carried out and more information becomes available, It will be made so to our Members & Followers.
We thank everyone for the concern that has been shown.

Please note that last nights fire at the Old Site storage facility has NOT impacted the main Museum or our operating hours. The Old Site Depot (the original location of the Museum) held a number of trams and buses awaiting restoration. These are a total loss.
Losses include unrestored bodies of Sydney C12 of 1898, Sydney R1741 of 1934, Sydney R1917 of 1937, Sydney R1819 of 1935, Sydney K1295 of 1913, Sydney N710 of 1906 , Melbourne SW2 432 of 1926 plus 4 historic buses.
No cause for the fire has been established, but there was no bushfire last night and there is no electrical connections to the shed.

That is a real tragedy. I gather that this was the old museum shed, some distance from the current sheds and museum. We can, at least be thankful, that the main museum display shed was unaffected. I have visited the Loftus Tramway Museum many times and always enjoyed the experience.

The last time I can recall something like this happening (arson was also suspected) was the Tramway shed at Parramatta Park. That resulted in the total destruction of almost everything they had although one valuable item was on loan to another museum and was thus saved. The fire forced them to close permanently and move what little they had left to Valley Heights.

Well i finally updated to TS12 SP1 after purchasing a boxed version so i didn't have to try and patch up manually on my bandwidth which would of taken a month lol, I bought one of Zec's DD Class steamer's age's ago and it all downloaded ok but be buggered if i can find it in game now, Anyway here we see K Class 103 with K Class 104 as mid train helper hauling sum cattle wagon's.

Yes it was the old site ,off site storage. The lose of C12, K1295, N710 and the buses is quite sad, at least there is still a few R's and SW2's around .

Hi Mick
They should show up in surveyor under 'VR DD T1' or 'VR DD T2' (depending on the version you bought). If not, check to see if they're showing up in Content Manager at all :)

Nice screenshot as well, definitely need to have a go at some new K class locos sometime... lol :)

Also, nice work on the X and Y guys, they look fantastic!

Regards
Zec

I watched it download as soon as i opened up CMP for the first time Zec so it's there sum-where but i spent most of last night and today throwing stuff in CMP mate so yeah still lot's to learn about fixing stuff and trying to work out this SP1 thingy ma jigger. 61388 is the version i bought Zec straight out of the box no patching required i think so that's a bonus to me.
Now i have to move all my other stuff over, But i am looking forward to checking out your Payware since i've had it for so long now but un-able to use it LOL.
Mick.:)

Have been playing around with the environment colours in TANE a little tonight :)

A couple of my favorites (all are the same scene, just played with environment settings):

Sunny spring day with a bit of cloud.

Overcast day.

Heavy rain, with dark cloud.

Just after sunset. This is actually based somewhat on what I saw tonight in the Dandenongs :)

I did sorta do Toodyay and I think I remember posting a picture of where it crosses Toodyay Rd. I've dabbled a bit with my Northam to Guildford DEM, hard to be happy with it when you live so close and its got to be perfect haha. Just one of a million side projects. Good to have another WA person on the forums :)
