Australian screenshots

Hi All,

H222 - Lovely screenshots :) Is that a new XRB model in the middle? If so can't wait for a release if its going to be a public model?

Stewart did a great job on ARI and I know I will defiantly miss him and it. I know he was working on a book and I am excited for its eventual release in due course.

Cheers,

No, ad602000 XRB.

It's Stewart's funeral today also.

QLD is 3 foot 6 inches (1,067 mm) - in the early trainz days a lot of people, including Auran, did QLD stuff but then used standard gauge bogies and track as that was all that was available .
Bit of confussious time for me, What is the main gauge used in the electrified coal network up there in QLD ?.
These were taken on Kentith45 amazing QLD Route

So i'm not sure if he has used a nice looking track or if its the wrong gauge for up that way as sum of the QR Rolling stock i downloaded doesn't fit this gauge at all, I have a DEM i made of the Gladstone port area and when i try Williamg's electric locos he made ages ago well they fit this track but his rolling stock doesn't

I just downloaded sum of William2's nice Cat stuff for QLD and i thought he also made sum track for the correct gauge but havn't been able to find it in my collection. Anyways if sum kind soul could help me out i'd appreciate it and i promise not to call you names just cause you come from north of the border either :hehe:.
Cheers Mick.

Hi Mick,

Is it a big ask if you pack ALL the Williamg items you have into a .CDP? I can no longer access his website as the links are all stuffed.

Cheers,

Hi Mick,
Yes I did upload NG track kuids below.

<KUID2:97008:35065:1> QR NG Track Concrete
<KUID2:97008:35066:1> QR NG Track Wood
These are 2009 versions

Cheers,

Bill.

Cheers Bill i grabbed a fair bit of your stuff today but i noticed you only have Cat Wire's set up for Concrete bridge's and no other type of Cat for QLD ?, I had to back date it to 3.5 and it works still so that's great. Do you also have a bogie for QLD 3.6 Gauge Bill ? i have a LRC ( Piecart ) i think it's known as but not sure on what to put under it.
Mick.

Just to show that Trainz isn't all about NSW, Vic and Qld or just about standard and broad gauge, here are some "screenies" from Tasmania.

TGR H Class loco waits at the Avoca Up Home signal for permission to enter the yard. Fingal Line 1955

A rake of TGR open wagons wait on the colliery branch line at Mt Nicholas colliery. Fingal Line 1955

TGR English Electric loco X 17 delivers a rake of empty coal wagons to the coal siding at Cullenswood for the nearby Cornwall colliery. Fingal Line 1955

TGR T class loco waiting with a empty rake of coal wagons on the loop at Conara Junction has just been given permission to move onto the Fingal branch line. Fingal Line 1955

When did Tassie become apart of Australia ? :hehe:. Just kidding nice work there Pware i like all the lever work you have going on in that last pic.
Cheers Mick.

It is available on the DLS. Just do a search for "Fingal Line 1955". You will find 1 route, 3 sessions, 3 HTML assets.

Downloading the 3 sessions will get you everything you need.

hey is this any WA routes available on the DLC ? thanks.

There were several WA themed routes on the DLS that were really old and basic made for Trainz 1.3, like 'Perth2Midland' by nuggles38, and a rough version of the Kalamunda Zig-Zag, so the chances of them working with modern versions of Trainz aren't good. A better option is to make your own route - it doesn't necessarily have to be 100% prototypical, but as long as it 'feels' like WA, then that's the main thing. :)

Incidentally I've been working on a Transperth/Perth suburban route set back in the early 90s which is nowhere near a stage of completion, but it is getting there.

As preserved X31 (although needing a clean!) waits in the platform with a special pass as X36 and P22 roll by with a fast container freight...

EDIT:
One more, from many moons ago, X33-T333-Y128 with an up loaded grain as X34 looks on at the platform...

Not much from me today but a couple of progress pic's.
This is the start of the large yard at Gladstone

And below we can see it a bit further up the yard towards the actual town with the UTM Tile's unhidden, You can just see the orange roof's of the loco's poking thru the tile's and just to the bottom of the pic is the Loco service area i think in that kind of triangle.

Any kind soul's from up that way if you have any pic's of the Cat System and are able to part with them please PM me i need to make a ton of them.
Cheers Mick.

Yes it is the AJS turntable and round house - TANE ate the one in shot above and I had to re do my loco depot
